@akintollgate How many Akin Alabis do we have out there, It's not working. Though I forget we are talking about Nigeria where we'll always create our own standard. All over the world ppl fund campaigns but here in nigeria we must invent one unworking system and some ppl will be justifying it

I held this perspective firmly in 2023 as we spent funds supporting the likes of the Okada Rider Hon. Donatus Mathew, Hon.Thaddeus Atta, Sen. Ireti Kingibe, Sen. Neda Imasuen & others I ❤️you Aisha, but young Nigerians, use this money to develop yourself or start a business. You want to serve 🇳🇬 ? Build your own wealth or get your friends to fund your election. Avoiding political discussions, just had to give good advice 🙏🏾 NEVER AGAIN!

In as much as we want to ask more from the Lagos govt, or in as much as we can argue that Lagos can do more, the truth is that if just 10 other states in Nigeria are half as strategic or progressive as Lagos since 1999, and if their people held them to account half as much as they hold Lagos, Nigeria will be at least 10x better than it is today.

Loooool do you want the Hard truth or comforting lies?! On fuel: It depends, will subsidy be back? If Obi reintroduces fuel subsidy, or if global crude crashes to $20/barrel (something no president controls), prices will drop. But reintroducing subsidy = going back to Buhari-era borrowing just to fund consumption. Every major 2023 presidential candidate including Obi campaigned against exactly that. On rent: It also depends, can Obi build 20million houses in 8yrs? Rent control doesn’t crash prices; it just kills supply and drives landlords away. Nigeria has a 20 million housing deficit. To fix that in 8 years, we’d need to build 2.5 million homes annually. Currently, we build about 100k new houses annually. To hit the target, we’d need to 25x our output—exceeding the US, which builds 1.5m homes yearly. Context? The US is a $30T economy; Nigeria is $200B. Their GDP is 150x our own. Any president promising to bridge that gap overnight is selling you a dream The Hard Truth: there are no quick fixes Both problems are deep macroeconomic issues with no quick fixes. A lot of people won’t want to hear this, but the current trajectory (subsidy removal + floating FX + FDI push) is the safest path we’ve could ever be on to avoid total economic collapse, However Economic collapse has been salvaged under BAT’s first 3yrs: The real work now is consolidating those gains: we should diversify away from oil to growing other sectors (steel, mining, tech services, agriculture) and reinvest the proceeds into social infrastructure to cushion the pain.

@PeterObi For how long will you continue to blame others for your misfortunes? A good leader leads and creates solutions to problems they/the people they lead face. Instead of blame games and waiting for others or miracles to solve their problems, they act(wisely).

@DikeSamuel8 Transient optics. Didn't the same military shield the 0alm Sunday assailants from irate youths? Didn't the military get intellectual on almost every attack of communities across the middlebelt beforehand and what they have done but show after the terrorists were gone. It's game!

The end of terrorism in Plateau has begun. The Nigerian Army has now taken a hard stance, going deep into forests and harsh terrains to capture the criminals. Kudos to our brave troops restoring peace.

Today, my cousin had a fight with his female friend of four years. From the beginning, he liked her and told her when they first met that he would love them to be in a relationship. However, the lady said no and insisted that they should start with friendship. Over the years, my cousin kept bringing up the topic of a relationship, but the lady always came up with different excuses. Two months ago, my cousin met another lady and asked her out. She accepted immediately, and they have been doing well together since then. As a friend, my cousin informed the other lady about his new girlfriend. That was when she changed her stance and told him that he had broken her heart. My cousin was confused because she had always rejected the idea of a relationship. However, the lady insisted that she had already accepted him but did not want to say it earlier because she was still studying him. Now my cousin is confused and does not know what to do at this point.

@AdesolaSo I've been in that situation before, if he dumps the lady he currently is with and starts a relationship with his said friend, there's a huge probability he'll regret it but there's a small chance it might work out. My advice is that, he should continue with his current gf.

From now until the 2027 elections, do not expect peace. In ADC, in PDP, in LP, expect no peace. And Tinubu’s hands will be all over it. Anyone who expects any less must be naive. Tinubu is president today ONLY because of the alliance he forged with disgruntled politicians and opposition parties. His 2011-election party bit the dust after the then ACN’s planned merger with other opposition parties, chiefly Buhari’s CPC, was scuttled by inordinate ambitions and unyielding interests. His then candidate Nuhu Ribadu placed a distant third with just 5.4% of total votes cast. His 2007-election party AC recorded a similar failure, following another unsuccessful merger with Buhari’s ANPP. Like Ribadu, candidate Atiku Abubakar placed a woeful third with only 7.45% of votes. But following a merger of three parties and the breakaway factions of two parties in 2013, 5.4% in 2011 became 53.96% for Tinubu’s candidate Muhammadu Buhari in 2015. Without the successful merger of Tinubu’s ACN and Buhari’s CPC into APC in 2013 ahead of the 2015 elections, Tinubu would never have been president in 2023. PDP is already a walking corpse; its biggest financier Nyesom Wike is also its number-one traitor. LP is no longer the force it was in 2023, further worsened by Peter Obi’s defection to ADC. Tinubu knows, therefore, that a peaceful ADC is the most potent threat to his 2027 reelection. From now until February 2027, expect ADC leaders to expend more energy on court-related matters than actual electioneering. If Tinubu must be politically toppled in 2027, all opposition must come together to adopt a candidate. That, or it’s balablu and enikan lomo until 2031!

I was hoping to read legal submissions, references to judicial authorities, scholarly opinions and case laws that shows how INEC chairman has erred or INEC as an institution has done something legally wrong. Only for me to see some usual political junks put together to cast aspersions on the integrity of the learned reputable professor of law and silk.
