@Yemi_of_Lagos You've got a truly real mother! She loves and wishes you well for that seemingly simple declaration. It's actually not easy for the many sub-humans receiving rice, pasta, and cash instead of ensuring a better future for their future generations. May God bless her abundantly.

Light Has Improved; Nigerians Have More Power Now Than They Did In 2015 And 2023 – President Tinubu’s aide, Bwala Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, has said that electricity supply has improved in some parts of the country, adding that Nigerians currently experience more power than they did in 2015 and 2023. Speaking on the state of power generation and distribution with arise TV, Bwala noted that while challenges still exist, some areas such as the Federal Capital Territory have seen relative stability in electricity supply compared to other regions. He also acknowledged that complaints about electricity often focus on tariffs rather than availability in certain locations. He explained that government reforms have helped open up the power sector to wider participation, stressing that the legal framework now allows states, local governments, and private investors to take part in both generation and distribution. “We have created the legislative environment that has given rise to the capacity of state, local government, and even the private sector to participate in both generation and distribution of power,” he said. Bwala further argued that progress in the sector should be judged by actual electricity supply rather than political comparisons. According to him, Nigerians are more concerned about the number of hours of electricity they receive than campaign-era benchmarks. He added that while some may compare the present situation with 2015 or 2023, what matters most is whether citizens are experiencing improved power delivery in real terms, insisting that there has been measurable improvement in supply in recent years.

@vanguardngrnews Ogbeni called it a scam government, and apologists are whining. Pardon to terrorists is the gravest injustice to their victims and the would-be targets in the future. A real government wouldn't have killers in its communities for even a scant reason. Our govt sustains terrorism.

Lol But we know you are the coalition candidate YET (no vex sir), he defeated you in 2023 when you had governors, states, and structures. These governors, states and structures are with him. I want us to meet the super brilliant girl Josie Ani. She met me this morning at South East Educators Conference to buy her book. She is 15 years old and wrote this beautiful book "Diary of my INK". She turned her experience through secondary school and life into poetry. I saw a little Chimamanda in her and we need to support her to continue making great strides. I bought mine already and i love it. This book is just N10k and we need this in every home for every child.

Globally, oil-exporting nations outside the "Hormuz" axis are celebrating high oil prices and running to the bank with excess oil profits. Nigeria, with extensive oil deposits and the largest refinery in all of Africa, is running to the IMF (allegedly) Fuel Subsidy removed, where is the excess revenue? Record oil prices, where is the excess revenue? Exchange gain, where is the excess revenue?

👑 Igbo Giants: Maryam Babangida Born Maria Ndidi Okogwu on November 1, 1948 in Asaba, she was the daughter of an Igbo man and a Hausa woman. She married General Ibrahim Babangida in 1969. By 1985, when her husband became military president, Maryam did something unprecedented. She created the position of First Lady from nothing. The ceremonial post became a platform. In 1987, she launched the Better Life Programme for Rural Women. Not charity. Empowerment. Cooperatives. Cottage industries. Farms. Markets. Training centers. Women's centers. Social welfare. Thousands of rural women mobilized for self-reliance across every state in Nigeria. She didn't stop at Nigeria. She reached across Africa. She contacted other African First Ladies and told them: your position can matter. Your work can change nations. By 1993, she established the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women's Development for research, training, and mobilizing women toward self-emancipation. She died in 2009, but Asaba remembers. Landmarks bear her name. Delta State remembers. The women she lifted remember. An Igbo woman from the East who showed the nation what a First Lady could be. 🖤

The only state where ADC might manage to secure up to 50,000 votes in the Southwest is Lagos. Even in Osun State; home ground of Aregbesola who is the national secretary of ADC, the best they can hope for is around 15,000 votes. In other Southwest states, they may struggle to secure even 5,000 votes. Ogun State appears to be the weakest ground for them; they might not even reach 1,000 votes. This is largely because the two most dominant political figures in the state today, Yayi of APC and Ladi of PDP and other former and present Govs are all firmly aligned with Asiwaju. That is if "ADC will be on the ballot in 2027"

They never judged Buhari by his followers who in fact killed their fellow citizens in 2011 because their candidate lost a Presidential elections. They never judge Tinubu by his followers who are very violent and are threatening to kill and maim anyone who openly campaigns for the opposition in Lagos, Edo and other places. But yes, let's hang Peter Obi because of his supporters who are online throwing their weight behind their candidate and defending him from verbal attacks from Tinubu's gang. Hypocrites.

I just learned that this is the Nestoil Building in Lagos, owned by Obijackson. A masterpiece like this is rare in the South East, yet our people have built many like it in Lagos and Abuja. Imagine if a structure like this were built in Onitsha, Awka, Enugu, Owerri, Abakaliki, or Aba as the headquarters of his company. Think of the jobs it would create, the opportunities it would open, and the pride it would bring to our land. Our people have the resources, the vision, and the capacity to transform the South East into “Rome.” All it takes is the decision to start investing at home.

Before Peter Obi joined the Labour Party, the party was largely unknown to many Nigerians. His entry transformed it into one of the strongest opposition forces in the country. After his departure, the party faded again from public attention. That alone speaks to the strength of his influence. It takes an uncorrupt, honest, and transparent leader to build a movement like that, he didn’t rise because of the party; he made the party, and created a platform for others to grow alongside him. Even if someone doesn’t like him for one reason, they will likely find another reason to appreciate him, he gives people many reasons to admire him.

Amaka Igwe died on April 28, 2014. She was 51 years old. She was in Enugu, her home state, doing pre-production for a new Igbo soap opera. She had just finished teaching a film-making class to young filmmakers in her hometown of Udi. An asthma attack. She was rushed to hospital. She did not make it. The woman who created Checkmate. Who wrote Fuji House of Commotion. Who directed Rattlesnake. Who ran Top Radio 90.9FM. Who was building a DStv channel in her final weeks. She died teaching. While creating. Genevieve Nnaji, upon hearing the news, wrote: "This is the darkest day of my entire career." Not a personal tragedy. The darkest day of her career. Because Amaka Igwe was not just Genevieve's mentor. She was the architecture beneath all of them. On January 2, 2020, Google honoured her with a Doodle. She had been gone six years by then. Nigeria was still catching up to what it had lost.
