@IMAO_ Texas Roadhouse is one of our two go-to places. The ambience is cheesy as all hell, but they serve good steaks at prices that don't leave me feeling like I've been skinned.

With all the steak talk, I have to say I'm really starting to love the restaurant Texas Roadhouse (just known as "Roadhouse" here in Texas). It's a really tasty steak for a decent price. My family of six can eat there and it's not so expensive we have to only wait for special occasions (and once as an experiment getting the cheaper menu items, we all ate there for less than $100 include 20% tip).

A robust majority of voters told pollsters prior to the 2024 election that they supported deportation of every illegal alien in America. But these polls are notoriously fickle and sustaining such majorities requires well-trained forces that will avoid generating the sorts of spectacles that crater public opinion, lead to political defeat, and (above all) kill civilians whom the armed agents of the state are under a mandate not to kill, even though they are legally permitted to do so under certain conditions of immediate threat. If you want to preserve a popular mandate, you take extra care to ensure that the policy is executed as cleanly as humanly possible. Where ICE training has not ruled out tactics that police are trained to avoid that can lead to situations that place both agents and protesters in peril, ICE training has erred in ways that will over the long run (and maybe the short run too) prove inimical to its own mission. None of this should have to be said.

@AbigailShrier @SwipeWright This argument also rests on the assumption that the agent is stationary. Why is the agent stationary in front of the vehicle? Why draw his weapon instead of step 2m to his right?

@AbigailShrier @SwipeWright then why did the driver turn right instead of continue left? If intent was to hit the agent, she would have continued left. What seems more likely, in a moment of panic she reached to shift from reverse to drive and pressed on the gas moments before turning the steering wheel

Fox winning clutch player of the year had nothing to do with record and everything to do with his league-leading 4th quarter scoring. Coach of the year is a team-based award considering coaches don't have individual stats. Same with executive of the year. Fox & Sabonis had All-NBA numbers in addition to team success. Bottom line is this; Malik Monk did more than enough to win the Sixth Man of the Year award, which is specific to individual accomplishment off of the bench. He lost it because his competitor played for a better team, not because Naz out-performed Monk off the bench.
