New study finds that US COVID deaths were undercounted by ~20%. While COVID revisionists and antivaxxers are trying to con people into thinking we did too much, the data says the opposite: Governments didn’t implement public health measures effectively enough to save more lives.

There is no difference anymore. And this generation of kids is experiencing no different than prior generations
SunshineandRainbows@JenJoMcC

@1goodtern Appalling. It makes me want to email them links to the Mayo Clinic website where they explain the difference between Covid and colds. I’m so angry and sad for this generation of kids.

the saddest person who ever lived
most "leftists" are so shitty about wearing a respirator to keep people safe from airborne illness bc it's something you have to actually change the way you live your life to do & not as easy to just performatively care about like a lot of other things they claim to care about.

@mumjeanzz Why are you lying? None of that is happening and has nothing to do with COVID

The rewriting of history is mind boggling. We had a kid in school who was sick this often. He stood out because NO ONE ELSE was sick as often as he was. Imagine being sick literally a third to half of your life. Anything but cleaning the air and protecting children.

Got this patient info sheet from the after hours clinic where my son went for an ear issue (not Covid, thankfully) Apparently they are calling Covid a "common cold" now & normalizing kids being sick like 16 weeks of the year "without cause for concern" 😳

@AuthorKitaraF Why are you spreading misinformation? Pre-pandemic studies literally show that it has always been normal. Getting sick multiple times a year doesn’t mean someone is immunocompromised

Being sick this often is actually why I was *obviously* disabled as a kid & it is not & has never been normal. Sick that many times in a year means you have an immunocompromised kid, period. The fact that they're normalizing this means all your kids are immunocompromised 🤷‍♀️

@TeemuTagg You can look up pre-pandemic studies that show it was always normal to get sick more than twice a year. Your anecdote doesn’t change reality.

I grew up in a household with lots of kids. When one got sick, we all got sick. 2 of us were clinically vulnerable. We got sick twice a year, if that. Now they're normalising 8 times a year with 14 days a time? And including Covid 🤯 HEPA should be the norm, not sickness!

@moniconga Except it no longer causes “severe acute respiratory” illness except in rare cases

@drseanmullen You'd think the "severe acute respiratory" part of the COVID name would provide a clue...

Wow. 🤯 I knew they were in denial and they’ve redefined what airborne means, what “mild” means, how long one is contagious & safe to return to work, when respirators are necessary to use, & even what a pandemic is, …but this is ridiculous. Also: “Common colds” can be bad.

@HemlockHouse Because COVID is just another URI now, you scientifically illiterate doomsday cultist. Testing is pointless and changes nothing. The rate of complications is no longer higher than that of other viruses. Seek help for your neurosis and untreated anxiety disorder.

@drseanmullen Most people don't know about the post-acute and long-term dangers of SARS-2 infections. They have cold symptoms, may or may not test, and don't fear SARS-2. When a complication occurs later, SARS-2 is not suspected.

They’re not getting sick more frequently
Agency of Understanding@CataholicPriest

@1goodtern "without cause for concern, your kids are getting sick more frequently and we just added the thing doing it to the list and called it common" is probably cause for concern that doctors are cowards and wont face the fact that they allowed this to get so bad its hurting children

@Biff234523 Medical neglect is so normalized with children. I was lucky to find out about my condition in my teens because the track record is that people don't figure it out until they get to their late 20's/early 30's Covid has absolutely changed that due to intensifying symptoms.

Jesus Christ. This entire paragraph is some nightmare fuel. Idk about all of you, but I didn’t spend 4 months of the year being sick as a child. And if any child does, their parents must truly hate them

@Biff234523 My parents and I regularly got into trouble with my school because I often was absent (with a note from my parents!) 30-40 days a school year. I was known in all of my classes as the one who's always absent. I remember all my friends had 0-3 days of yearly absences. WTF.
