@cliverg383678 @kiwiweetbixkid1 @MurfittTauranga You are probably quoting the very debatable & highly inaccurate "covid" deaths... if you look at excess deaths from all causes, which is what matters the most, Sweden did much better than us in the end. So yes, it was all for nothing.

@kiwiweetbixkid1 @MurfittTauranga Sweden actually had one of the higher death rates in Europe, certainly not "the best" at 2798 deaths per million population. Neighbour Norway was one of the lowest in Europe at 1050 deaths per million, and they had a fairly restrictive regime.

This quote is from the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health and the Office of the Chief Coroner dated 18 March 2020. The second Covid inquiry concludes: "Overall, this report concludes that Aotearoa New Zealand did well in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic. On the whole, the decisions taken and methods used during the Covid-19 response were considered and appropriate." Was running a SECOND inquiry maybe just a politically driven waste of time and money?

Sick to death of these articles, inquiries & revisionist histories pandering to the selfish cooker minority who are still alive to complain because of Jacinda Adern's leadership. Her approach saved tens of thousands of lives and has been vindicated as one of the world's best.
