@Barbara77523575 @chrisluxonmp Iran is most certainly the enemy. Prove otherwise
English

@chrisluxonmp Utter rubbish NZ working with like minded countries. Iran is not the enemy. US and Israel started the conflict.
English

Attacks on fuel tankers and energy infrastructure in the Middle East are leading directly to higher fuel prices for Kiwis.
That’s why we have joined the United Kingdom and other countries in condemning Iran’s attacks in the Gulf. Iran has forced the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz to ships carrying fuel and other critical goods to places like New Zealand.
New Zealand has a longstanding record of working with like-minded partners to ensure open supply lines for global trade.
Obviously, any future decision for New Zealand to support multilateral efforts to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz would need to be considered by Cabinet.

English

@McNghton1 @chrisluxonmp You prefer the mass slaughter of protesters for the sake of international law (which doesn't exist)
English

@chrisluxonmp Joining the UK who’s involved in this illegal conflict?
The entire reason for the attacks?!
Condemning Iran’s indisputable right to self- defence?
Those on the right side of history have no problem in the Hormuz straight which until now Iran has kept free.
Suez & Panama are not.

@chrisluxonmp REMOVE THE TAX BURDEN
or is it too good for you ? Bugger the people

@heroesatwork Lol. I'm sure he appreciates your loyalty. Ask his ex wife if loyalty is a trait of his

I STAND WITH CHRIS HIPKINS
Nick Rockel@nickarockel
There is nothing good here, not for Chippy or his ex-wife, and certainly not for their children; the only ones to benefit are the coalition, and I’d love to know who brought it to the media, although I could probably hazard a guess, and what their connections and motives are.

@CathKakariki I'm basing my claim of knowing fibkins timelines ...... Or haven't you been paying attention?
Maybe you should take a look
English

@graphicshock So you’re basing your claim on a now deleted facebook post?

@winstonpeters Remove tax from fuel ? Reduce the tax burden ?
Stop the mass immigration.

We are not interested in a politician's current personal relationship issues and won’t be commenting at all on the matter - apart from the fact that there are lies now being spread including that the person involved works for New Zealand First – this is false. This person does not work for New Zealand First nor has any affiliation or role with New Zealand First.
They worked for a short period of time in an office then left amicably for another role around a year ago.
We are not saying anything further on the matter - we have serious national and international concerns that we have to deal with.

@chicketyclick One that was abused by him. One that was betrayed by him in the worst way ?

I’m proudly supporting Chris Hipkins. It’s outrageous to see him treated this way—what kind of partner would leak information to the press just to embarrass him publicly?
Martyn Bradbury@CitizenBomber
The pack mentality of ripping Chris Hipkins to pieces until he cried over his children is one of the saddest days of Journalism in NZ The new evidential threshold is now whatever someone alleges on social media This is what we is now, this is what we have become #nzpol

@Mountain_Tui How much integrity do you have to cheat on your wife and leave your kids?
English

@chrisluxonmp REMOVE TAX ON FUEL. You already get GST.
This is a massive tax take from the government
English

I wanted to give you an update on how international events are having an impact in New Zealand. All Kiwis will be noticing that the conflict in Iran is having an impact at the pump.
Whatever happens, I want to reassure you that our Government will deliver the responsible economic and fiscal management needed.
New Zealand has good holdings of fuel – and more broadly, the latest advice from Treasury shows we are in the best position that we have been in years to deal with a shock like this. The economy is growing, inflation and interest rates are down, and we’re making progress in getting the books back in order.
But I know Kiwis are already feeling the impact. That’s why we’ve been talking to other world leaders to ensure New Zealand continues to receive critical supplies of fuel and other economic inputs.
We've set up a Ministerial Oversight Group led by Nicola Willis, and officials are working up options that will allow us to respond rapidly, should we need to.
We live in an increasingly unstable world, and speed bumps in the road are real.
Our Government is taking sensible economic decisions to help Kiwis with the cost of living, create jobs and lift incomes – and ensuring we are well prepared for whenever bumps in the road might hit.
