Novak Djokovic started his 2015 season by winning AO, Indian Wells, Miami and Monte Carlo. Remains the only instance where an ATP player won the first four big events of the year. It was also the only instance of someone winning the first three masters of the season.

@AmyLundyDahl Maybe put Houston, Charleston, etc after IW to kick off NA clay and Miami back a week on Hartru? If it were on clay I think best players show up to kick off clay season

Reasons to move #MiamiOpen out of March: — Too close to Indian Wells, bad for health of players — Spring Break, concert series in Miami, traffic & non-tennis crowds are nuts — Competes with March Madness for attention — Players want to get on with clay season — Expensive for fans

I would give him PP1 to see out the year... see what he CAN be with every opportunity. Because he has more raw "skill" than any other Dman in Flyers system... and tbh 99% of Dmen in the NHL when have those hands and skating. #Flyers

For the last 40 games @NHLFlyers Sanheim has looked like a 1st pairing Dman... a #1? No. But playing at ~#2 level. But one of the few bright sparks amongst a frozen sea of disappointment and discontent. #Flyers

@HockeyStatsCZ You can praise a McEwen and criticize TK while still recognizing who is way better. Obviously expectations for TK and Sanheim are very high because they have so much more to give talent wise.

We're starting to think that Flyers fans have actually gotten what they deserve (not everybody of course). There are fans who're praising up players like MacEwen or Ristolainen and criticizing players like Konecny or Sanheim. It's absolutely unbelievable to read some comments...

@HockeyStatsCZ Nothing wrong with this specific move. You can argue other things like why not replace Yeo, but adding an experienced coach to the mix makes sense

@ADiMarco25 It's the players. If everyone was healthy they were borderline wild card team. No depth and key injuries means they are among worst teams now. Doesn't matter who coaches

I've said this numerous times, but I'll reiterate: this is not me saying that they shouldn't have made a coaching change. I just still find it amusing how many people truly believed in their heart of hearts that this was/is a coaching issue.

I for one am SHOCKED that this ship did not get righted the second that AV and Therrien got canned. #bringittobroad

@PaulFMcNamee You just hope he is being treated equally as others whether he finds a way to stay or not. I just don't want to see him treated differently for better or worse

For those asking, all players go through the same visa process overseen by Tennis Australia to play the Australian Open (as non Australians are currently not able to enter). So it beggars belief that Djokovic is the only player that has had his visa granted and then rescinded

@tennisnation He should have indicated earlier this that he had a valid medical reason to not vaccinate. Most people would have accepted that and moved on. The cagey approach he took on this drew lots of unnecessary negativity

After 46 wonderful years at The Inquirer, I’ve accepted the buyout & will start a new phase in my life. Thanks to all my great editors & amazing colleagues, & thanks to all our passionate readers. It’s been my pleasure — and I still plan to do some #Flyers freelance work. Cheers!

@RGilbertSOP He didn't play it well but can't blame him completely here. Does he stick with McDonagh and let Stamkos waltz in? Stamkos did a good job of finding that spot that put Risto in impossible spot without back checking support

@HockeyStatsCZ I think you miss the point. The flyers have way bigger issues than Risto. Lack of center depth, lack of scoring, injuries, PP, etc. Would add that Sanheim is more under achiever than underrated. With his talent and physical gifts he should be a #1 dman with way more scoring

In other words: you can play almost anyone with Sanheim and they will be good for the Flyers. Sanheim even did carry players like MacDonald, Manning or Hagg. It says a lot about Sanheim.

There are a lot of Flyers' fans who defend Rasmus Ristolainen this season. Yeah, agree, he's better than he was in Buffalo so far. But he's still bad hockey player overall. He almost can't do anything with puck. He's just lucky he's playing with Travis Sanheim.

2021, you’ve been real! Another tennis season ends (apart from fake Davis Cup), so here’s a throwback of what went down in tennis on both tours! From great tournaments to gorgeous points, here’s a thread!

@PaulFMcNamee @pauloliver9999 Set 3 was set of the year of doubt. Match was good but not their best by a long shot. For this year, I can't think of any other candidates on men's side. Women on other have been loaded with great matches

@pauloliver9999 I think I know when Rafa is off… like the Australian Open final with Wawrinka… I saw him get injured in the warm up and made the call, but no one would believe it… the third set at Roland Garros was way too remarkable imo for one of the men to be injured

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but THAT semi-final at Roland Garros, the one that changed history, is my match of the year …by a rather large margin
