@GrochestTom @gbellseattle The agreement states that we'll have the name, trophies, banners but the "team history" (aka years played, stats, records, players, etc.) will NOT automatically transfer now, as it has been more than five years.
New agreement needed to get the shared history.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will give the Seattle Sonics their history back if the NBA grants Seattle an NBA team, per @espn “Sources said if a team was to return to Seattle, the Thunder would cede the Seattle history back to the SuperSonics — just as the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets reclaimed the Charlotte-era history of the New Orleans Pelicans when Charlotte switched from being the Bobcats to the Hornets in 2014.” (Via es.pn/3MLB2SO)

To be clear on this, because I've seen people say this is nothing new.
In the settlement, which is posted here. The agreement between the city and the PBC (OKC owners) stipulated that upon a new team in Seattle all intellectual property would be Seattle's, BUT, they would still share history prior to 2008. What the PBC/OKC is saying is that they will not reference the past ever again.

Alaska Airlines has extended their sponsorship deal to Hec Ed.
Starting this fall, though, there will be a new sponsor at Husky Stadium. It will not be a competing airline, however.
The turf is going to be replaced this summer with a brand new sponsor by week one of the football season

Alaska Airlines renewed its naming-rights deal for UW's basketball arena. Husky Stadium field-naming rights, meanwhile, are out to market. And what about jersey patches?
"We're actively in that marketplace, as well."

This is my favorite line from @hawkblogger’s book.
It really was the “perfect” Seahawks season, even though they weren’t undefeated.
This may never happen again. It may never FEEL like this again, even if the Seahawks go on a run.
