@PolitlcsUK The judge should be investigated for their other work and affiliation groups - justice was NOT served and that is the point of the judge - no matter the background of the offender, sob stories of being poor or ignorant should not matter - they chose to commit crimes

Muslim “refugees” are claiming benefits from the UK’s welfare system while taking trips back to Afghanistan to visit their Taliban family members and friends. They claimed asylum because they were supposedly fleeing danger and persecution. Yet they feel safe returning to Taliban-controlled Afghanistan for holidays, family visits and whatever else they please—all while British taxpayers fund their housing, food, benefits and healthcare. This is not genuine refuge. This is welfare tourism and outright fraud.

Good news for families - every child aged 5-15 in England will travel free on buses this summer, with unlimited journeys, no registration required, and no cost to families. Our economic plan is the right one. Tackling the cost of living and building a stronger Britain.

Net migration has fallen 82%. I promised to restore control to our borders. My government is delivering. I know there’s more to do, we’re introducing a skills-based migration system that rewards contribution and ends our reliance on cheap overseas workers.

At the General Election we pledged to bring down net migration. Following reforms in our Immigration White Paper last Spring, it has now fallen 82% from the peak under the Tories. We promised a fair, controlled and managed migration system, and that is what we are delivering.
Yvette Cooper@YvetteCooperMP

Under the Tories overseas recruitment shot up while UK training was cut - a failed free-market experiment which quadrupled net migration in 4years. Tomorrow’s White Paper will restore control to the immigration system, bring down net migration & boost skills & training in the UK

@Keir_Starmer Did you listen to what was being said, did you understand. What exactly does the family save, likely not going on a trip would actually keep food on the table, for longer! If course our Benefit System serves recipients very well, sort that out & you’ll have more to give back

Andy Burnham’s bad temper surfaced twice this morning. When Farage made the spontaneous decision to pop into a local cafe for refreshment, where Andy was present, he left in rage. He also refused to answer questions about his position on the EU with the Express’s Aaron Newbury.

During a debate in the House of Lords, Baroness Hussein raised concerns over anti-Muslim rhetoric heard during the Unite the Kingdom rally in London, including chants calling for Muslims to leave the country. Baroness Hussein said Muslims have helped build Britain and serve the country across sectors including education and the NHS and it’s their country.

@RachelReevesMP I am sure the deal with Russia is worth more than 5p and for our curiosity, what price drop could be afforded if we start to pump for a kerb Sea Oil - The VAT receipts would be huge, and pass some back to the consumer

The war in Iran is pushing up prices at the pump, so we're stepping in. We are extending the 5p fuel duty cut until the end of the year- keeping costs lower for millions of drivers. We have the right economic plan to protect households and build a stronger Britain.
