Web3 games almost always feel like they were made by people who've never played a video game. The whole genre reads like it was reverse-engineered from a pitch deck, it pisses me off.

web3 games are still too rare, so between building my own game, i’m thinking about starting a simple review series on web2 indie games — partly to cover more content, and partly to explore what they might look like as web3 games.

Every day more games die, others leave crypto (Origins was one of my last hopes), and the ones that survive have a brutal road ahead. So, what is Crypto Gaming? Honestly, at this point I have no idea. I have an opinion, and obviously it is biased. Biased by 5 years of dreams that kept disappearing, money we kept losing, teams that kept letting us down. So what is my last hope? I think the only space left for crypto gaming is: > Fully Onchain Gaming ( Kamigotchi, Citadel) > Degen Risk to Earn Gaming ( Onchain Héroes, Cambria, Gigaverse) The rest? We will see what they bring. Because we went from Web3 Gaming, to Web2.5 Gaming, to ending up on Steam or Epic just like everyone else. We started by launching tokens before games. Now we launch games with no token, no NFTs, no blockchain. Good luck to the ones who stay. You have my full support.

I'm about to spend $3,000+ on a PC powerful enough to play any game at max settings. what I'm going to use it for... clicking on goblins in lumbridge at 420+ FPS all this innovation all this computing power all so i can relive a game from 2007 with ultra realistic grass textures and emotional attachment issues rate the setup. then judge me accordingly.
