The idea for this trip actually came from our visits to a few colleges on the last trip. Everyone told us how crazy it gets on gamedays, so now we want to experience it ourselves. Now we need your expertise: Which colleges should we visit? What games are interesting? And what other events or activities (also non sporting related) are worth checking out in September/October? So far we have these on our list: - Oktoberfest in Helen, GA - Texas State Fair - Breeders' Cup in Kentucky

They would much rather continue to get close, sell their fans this story about how the Dodgers and Yankees (the teams lining Cleveland’s pockets every year) are evil. Useful enemy! Then they profit year over year AND when they sell the team, not just when they sell the team

This argument would carry a lot more weight if the so-called “small market” teams like Cleveland did not start the year with $150+ million in revenue before ever playing a game and then proceed to pocket most of that revenue and not put it on the field

I live in Cleveland. I'll be accused of licking billionaire boots, but I see first-hand virtually every year that you can be an intelligently run team and then get waxed in October by rich dudes hitting homers. Baseball's "parity" comes from playoff expansion/Central Divisions.
