My partner of two years decided to end things right before the holidays because he felt he needed to "explore the world as an unattached individual" and discover who he was without a safety net.
The twist? We had planned a trip months prior, and I had used 150,000 of my personal, hard-earned airline miles to book his first-class ticket.
A week after the breakup, he texts me: "Hey, just checking into my flight app and I don't see my boarding pass. Did the airline glitch?"
I had called the airline the day after the breakup, canceled his ticket, and deposited the miles back into my account.
I texted him back: "No glitch! I just realized that flying first class on my airline miles is the ultimate safety net. If you're going to truly explore the world as an unattached individual, you've got to start from the ground up. Literally. Hope standby treats you well!"

It's Sanjay Leela Bhansali! He hired Saroj Khan to choreograph Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’s famous song Ram Chahe Leela, and she spent 10 days creating and recording the choreography. At that time, the song’s line was “Thappad se darr nahi lagta, lagta hai pyaar se.” But Salman Khan reportedly did not like the dialogue from his film Dabangg being copied, so the song was temporarily cancelled. Saroj Khan was told that she would be called back when the song was finally shot.
Later, the lyrics were changed, and the song was filmed with another choreographer but many of Saroj Khan’s original dance steps were still used. Saroj Khan became very upset because she was neither paid for her 10 days of hard work nor given proper credit, while her choreography was allegedly copied
