@weischoice Totally agree, I was such a fan as well. I covered it a number of times on the site as part of our Podmass feature, doing short recommendations on recent noteworthy episodes. I think all of these mentioned on the show's Wikipedia were mine?

I am incredibly excited to announce that I'm back in @TheAVClub writing about podcasts, after a four year hiatus. This time, it's to launch Podcast Pantheon, a monthly column where I'll be looking back at the past decade of shows and highlighting the medium's best and weirdest.

Honestly, this is everything to me. The reason I've been wanting to cover podcasts with greater depth and sensitivity is that listeners can easily miss just how much passionate and creative work goes into them!

@NotBenCannon I'm so excited about this!! As a longtime AV Club reader and now someone who went from a consumer to a producer of narrative pods, I've been craving coverage like this for some of the best narrative shows for so long and George is a perfect start for this new podcast canon!

@NotBenCannon Also really hope you can craft some space for single episodes of long running narrative shows like Snap Judgment and TAL! @chanajoffewalt's recent episode on exchange students from Gaza is the best audio documentary I've heard all year and it's a perfect standalone episode.
