The guy she was cheating with whom she has known for 3 months messaged me and asked me to leave his girlfriend that they are planning to marry, someone I have been dating for 4yrs. When he told me they have known for like 3 months, I asked him if 3 months was enough to marry someone, he said he loves her, I said okay. So I just realized my coursemate has a crush on me… and the way I found out is crazy. From my first year, this guy and I have been posted to the same hospital three consecutive times. If you know how postings work, you know that’s not normal. We weren’t even that close. Just normal conversations. He’d help me sometimes and guide me… but never anything emotional. So I never thought anything of it. This semester, we got posted again. Same hospital. Same unit. Same floor. It was me, him, and another girl. We were talking casually when he suddenly said, “You know we’ve been posted together three times, right?” I laughed. Then he asked if I remembered the first hospital. Before I could even think, he started talking… And that’s when it got weird. He mentioned my birthday… how my aunt surprised me with a cake at the hospital. He said he was there. He said he ate the cake. He even remembered wishing me happy birthday. I was just standing there like… ??? 😭 Because I don’t even remember half of that. Then he kept going. He started mentioning other things. The way I act, moments from last semester, how he’s been noticing me. The way I used to come early sometimes. How I’d react when I was stressed. Even small moments I didn’t think anyone was paying attention to. Then he brought up a time I got injured during posting… and said he felt bad like it was somehow his fault. At that point, I was just quiet. Because how do you explain someone remembering your life better than you do? He never said he likes me. But be honest… how do you remember that much about someone you don’t like? 👀
