@averagehsd @BlackPanthaaYT other successful games like the souls series and balders gate 3 are still more niche games but they're successful because they're good tho they're still not for everyone. true car passion isnt about materialism so art should reflect it

Seeing the level of expectation and now disappointment from the FH6 customization is so wild to me I'm really not sure what people expected. The game has always chosen more cars over anything else and I've accepted that. Forza is not NFS

@averagehsd @BlackPanthaaYT okay so let me explain something, nowadays xbox isnt doing so well so with their more successful IPs like FH they try to push for the largest target audience posible at any cost but originally the series was aimed at car enthusiasts so they cut corners with this audience the most

I don't know exactly what the exact demographic of the game is and what their exact interests are, but I wouldn't say adding that many cars is 'half assed', just different priorities.

@averagehsd @BlackPanthaaYT thinking i dont understand something because i disagree is wrong. people who try to collect ALL cars in FH are rare but most players are casuals and kids they genuinely dont know any better or have access to it. they have a monopoly so they half ass the development of the games.

And the reason I mentioned my opinion is not to say that it makes what they are doing 'objectively right', but to say that different people appreciate different things, and therefore develoeprs see it

@averagehsd @BlackPanthaaYT thats a pretty selfish way to look at things. the purpose of art isnt to make money, money is just a byproduct sometimes. art is for self expression and its sad no one expresses love for cars in the best entertainment medium like they did back in the 2000s.

I'm saying that what they do in their games appeals to me (and presumably others), and for that reason, I understand the business decision to have many cars, because it works, whether we appreciate it or not.

@NotCheckered @BlackPanthaaYT I think that you are speaking more emotionally than logically. Logically, the game has high player retention (especially compared to other games), and logically, I and other people keep playing because we have the chance to earn more cars. It's okay to disagree

@averagehsd @BlackPanthaaYT fh5 has more content than any other horizon game but i got bored of it in like a week, they hold a player base because they have no competition, its either slop or no racing. quality will always beat quantity

@NotCheckered @BlackPanthaaYT I do, though. The only reason I still play Forza Horizon 5 is to unlock more cars because I have over 800 and I still don't have all. Look, I get it's annoying, but there is a huge chunk of the playerbase that continues playing because of this and Forza realizes it...

Really depends on the style of game you want tbh or just wait for GTA 6 I guess lol

@NotCheckered @BlackPanthaaYT I mean maybe not the same polish sure as licensing costs a lot of money and requires quite a bit of funding so you'd have to settle for games without licensed cars
