Excited to share I've joined the team at Second (@secondhq) where my goal is to blow the roof off Bitcoin adoption.
Second's team of ex-Blockstreamers and other passionate Bitcoiners are working on Bark, an implementation of Ark that massively improves Bitcoin payment UX.
I was so impressed with Bark that I knew instantly it was what I wanted to work on next. And there have only been two other times I've had that experience.
- When I first learned about Bitcoin
- When I used Lightning for the first time
Together with the team, I believe we'll make self-custodial, instant Bitcoin payments the default for every wallet app.
Follow me to watch us build and to learn more.

Built on Bark. With an OpenAPI spec to throw your agent at.

@notgrubles Looks good!
I think devs need to solve the problem of "Pay Lightning", or "Pay Ark" etc, it should all be under Bitcoin.
That's the next challenge.

@Ashsh178545 @EFF Pivot away from what? Cross posting is effortless lol.

@notgrubles @EFF They still get traction over there but not on X. The answer is obvious to just pivot if shit isn’t going well

@Macronaut_ @btcjvs It's funny because to prove it hasn't failed would require Lightning to be much less private.
English

@btcjvs "Don’t say lightning, it’s failed and quantum will enhance centralisation, effectively making layer 2s and lightning redundant."
none of that is accurate or makes any sense
English

Iran demanding payment in bitcoin makes sense, as countries try to transition away from US dollars.
But the issue for a global settlement layer is privacy.
The Bitcoin transaction is always public, the workaround is conjoin but has compliance/scalability issues.
Bitcoin is better than gold, and stablecoins can be frozen.
Don’t say lightning, it’s failed and quantum will enhance centralisation, effectively making layer 2s and lightning redundant.

Okay, setting up a @BtcpayServer using gitlab.com/ark-bitcoin/ba… was way easier than I had expected... And yes, I have chosen the USD for testing... I have never set up BTCPayServer before, so let's see how it goes 👀🐕

Our continued presence on other platforms like Facebook and TikTok is not an endorsement. We stay because the people there deserve access to info, too. We stay because the fewer steps between you and the resources you need to protect yourself, the better. (4/5) ssd.eff.org

The illusion a stablecoin provides disappears when you can see the price of goods rise in real time.
