SECOND IS NOW ON MAINNET. Bark, our implementation of the Ark protocol, is available for anyone to start making bitcoin payments. Included in the launch are our mainnet Ark server, the Bark SDK, and multiple wallets to try from day one.

I've also been thinking of how to make realtime VTXO backups simpler in barkd, the Bark daemon meant to be running long term. A simple solution would be to just write the database data to a second path. That path could be where you've mounted a USB drive or something hardcore like a ZFS mirror. I think this would make life easier on @umbrel and @start9labs style of devices.

I sent an Ark payment to Charlie and he received a VTXO Then he used that to pay a Lightning invoice ⚡️

Inside Noah, we just merged where now clients would pass a query param ?ark= for lightning address payments and our server returns {pr: "invoice", "ark": "address"} so that we can do ark payments between clients. If the requesting client is on the same ark network, our server doesn't bother waking up Noah for an invoice and just returns {"ark": "address"} It'll be nice if other clients building on bark can adopt this. Also, arkade based clients also could also start doing this.

Force moves (aka unilateral exits) are an important feature in Ark(é). The next version of the app may include a video explainer to make it easier to understand how it works. Is this helpful? youtu.be/gifJmeOcGeA

Working on a PR to improve @satsigner's Ark experience. Since Bark SDK provides everything needed to build Ark-enabled wallets, the real challenge is creating a great UI/UX.

Paying a regtest Lightning invoice using a Bark VTXO and LDK's client-side pathfinding. The payment details are computed on-device and turned into an onion. The Bark LN gateway then simply becomes a dumb relay.
