@TylerWong65 I think Will could get close to Leigh with a couple more 500s, but Leigh did so well it’ll be hard to top it. I’d honestly wish Jamie was the host for the desk since she’s actually been in the sport for years but idk if fox would trust her with that.

@NotJacobSorry And Leigh Diffey as well, Will Buxton is awesome, but Leigh set the standard for how the broadcast should be.

I agree FOX has done a fantastic job with their #INDYCAR Coverage since they started carrying the series last year. Viewership is up and engagement is high, but the host at the #Indy500 where Millions are watching saying the wrong info is a bad look and has to be better.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is so big it can actually hold the entire city of Chicago. Wow!

Sucks that people aren’t going but I can’t blame them for wanting to be at a lake on the 4th. Road America had that vibe and Chicagoland won’t provide that unfortunately

@Jonathan_Fjeld @brettbphoto Agreed. A lot of Chicagoland crowds come from surrounding states, but they get a ton of people from Wisconsin. Guess what we’re doing in Wisconsin on this weekend? Grilling out and chilling at the sandbar on the lake.

Yeah this is ridiculous. People begged for Chicagoland to come back for years just for nobody to buy a ticket. Can't really blame NASCAR for making this a 1 and done

@ItsJustElite @GOWENYT Ok well, pay for the $10 pop and get 5/6 of those since you’re standing in the sun. And then pay for food that comes out to $25. Do that twice cause you’re walking around the course to find a spot to see the cars for 15 seconds and a scene for the other minute. Super fun 👍

Am I the only one who doesn’t care if Chicagoland is a one and done?

@ItsJustElite @GOWENYT If nascar isn’t losing money to run it, go ahead with it. But nascar didn’t make a profit from it and kept reducing the event. Year 3 was run better overall with ga being able to walk everywhere, but paying over $100 for a ticket(standing only) then $100 for alcohol sucks.

@ItsJustElite @GOWENYT Only thing is that Chicagoland hasn’t had a repave since it’s opened unlike Kansas. The drivers that tested said the bumps got worse so that should make it better. It costs nascar 40 mil to make a temporary street race that doesn’t make them a profit.

@GOWENYT It’s gonna be mid at best. Look at Kansas this year, i only remember Ware spinning out with just over a lap to go and Hamlin got screwed over

@DGIveyNASCARFan I don’t understand why they can’t go and rotate it to cities that don’t have tracks nearby. So many places like Denver and Salt Lake could be something that actually grows the fanbase to places that’ve never had it before.

Someone legitimately explain to me why they feel the need to return to Chicago for a street race? Also is it possible for both Chicagoland and the city race to exist in 2027?

@NotJacobSorry @ChicagolndSpdwy They give us a number of laps they’d like to see on each set, but they don’t really dictate which line we run in each corner. We are able to change some small things, as long as it doesn’t take up much time. Have a lot of sets to try to run through each day.
