Today's battery statistics. I was legit just using Telegram, Whatsapp and Twitter. 100 to 68% for 1h 13m SoT (away from charger for 3h 4m)

I hate vivo for their poor software optimization. Coming from a Pixel and iPhone, I knew that I had to keep my hopes on the software design low. I was ready to take the compromise and buy a vivo X300 thanks to its insane hardware for the price. Silly of me to think that paper specs equate to reality. Previously, vivo pushed the June patch and it completely destroyed my battery life. I then took it to the service center (they were kinda helpful and polite) and asked them to downgrade to the previous patch. Something got messed up on my phone after updating to the June patch, and the issues still are present in the May patch. I bought my phone on Feb 10 2026 (5.1 months old now) and I used to get a healthy 7-9h SoT over 1.5 days without charging the phone. My battery health is still at 100%. But now? I'm barely getting 4-5h SoT and it touches 6h SoT when the phone feels like it wants to. And the phone gets very warm like my older Pixel. It's such a shame that this is not only a issue with vivo but also OPPO (see third image) I'm prolly sell this phone soon and go back to using Google/Apple since they kept me happy (despite the issues they have)
