The Nothing Phone (4a) attempts to balance looks, design, build, and cameras under 30,000. This is a thread of my impressions with this phone, over the past few days. Note: There has been no major 'first' OTA update, so some findings are bound to change in the final review.

The Nothing Phone 4a Pro drop is in Bangalore tomorrow, I’ll be there after 12. DM if anyone’s interested in meeting so I can recognise you. Interested in going hands-on with that phone as well and comparing a few things with the 4a unit that I have.

I liked maybe 2 or 3 songs… out of 14. Such mediocre production and song writing. Both BTS and Blackpink comebacks were extremely underwhelming and not to mention Harry Styles Save us Olivia Rodrigo

Remember how there were thousands of posts about people being outraged about Samsung copying Apple's orange color, even though Samsung has been making orange phones for almost a decade? And turns out that was just a fake rumor made by people to spew hate on Samsung 🤭 Oppo launched Find N6 today with the exact same shade of Orange, and guess what? No one raised an eyebrow 🤭 The tech community never fails to surprise me with their double standard 😅

Two different vibes-Two different users. Left: POCO X8 Pro Raw performance,next-level speed, massive battery life,ultra-fast charging and serious value for money. Right: Nothing Phone (4a) Unique transparent design,Glyph lights,clean UI and a standout look. If you had to pick one as your daily driver… Which one are you choosing and why?

@surajwable I don’t care whether an OS is “clean” or not, it’s more about keeping essential Stock Android features, & also having a design identity, and stability, etc

@Sankew06 The configurator thing, I had to do it even on M1 after a Beta update

a friend of mine reset their M5 MacBook Air, and got stuck on the activation screen, with no way to fix it I shared my Mac’s internet via USB C and got it to activate, then i restored macOS via Apple Configurator I’m guessing the new N1 chip is causing this issue

@Bernkastel117 @ShishirShelke1 Yeah, that's what I meant. Apple doesn't seem to be using MiniLED much except for MacBook Pros.

@TechWhirlUlt @ShishirShelke1 I wouldn’t hold my breath. Once they add OLED to the Pros maybe they’ll move the mini-LED Liquid Retina XDR displays over to the Air if apple’s feeling generous. But since they haven’t done that with the iPad Air I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple just ditched Mini-LED altogether.

Using a M5 MacBook Pro today made me realise how old my M1 MacBook Air feels… Maybe it’s time for an upgrade

I’m so confused between these I wish I could have both atp (poll in the replies) OPPO: Better photos (especially for product shots for my reviews), telephoto, better battery, better charging, and most likely better longevity. iPhone: Better third party apps, better videos, selfies, better ecosystem when I get a MacBook, and I love the media integration and organisation on the iOS photos app. I’m so torn apart between these and for the love of god idk what to pick. I don’t want iOS but the third party apps and video recording is just miles ahead but then the OPPO has better photos with a telephoto, battery and charging which are just as important.

@MicrosoftvApple But I would pick up vivo X300 over both of these. I feel even the OnePlus 15 will be a balanced pick over these two options. You can try my vivo X300 whenever we meet :)
