@fourdude so, from what i’ve heard from contacts they have a “reinvite list”, going in person one year usually nets you an invite the next. and i was wrong, there is atleast 1 more wave

If Roblox fumbles RDC26 invites this year and fails to invite several top creators, I hate to say it, but the $RBLX short sellers may win their wager come Q3 2027. RDC26 invites are highly unusual, with several first-wave developers still not having invites yet 1 month in. Many are worried they've been dropped. This is obviously a problem. Note that Roblox states that their highest ROI is investing in creators- likely what drove recent DevEx increases. Creators are undoubtedly an important detail. DevEx increases were great, but investment in creator networking is also huge. RDC has no doubt been a genesis of big ideas for years now. You bring all that talent under one roof and of course monumental developments are going to come of it. The problem is taking away that access from creators. It is obviously a huge opportunity cost to shut out top creators from opportunities at RDC. I don't think many stakeholders who actually care about Roblox would disagree. And right now within Roblox corporate, I see too many employees who work at HQ with the mentality that "all this is going to shit" (verbatim) while also letting that happen with their actions. We need less of that negative energy. RDC is important. The right people need to converge at the right time and place to foster serendipity. And that's what RDC means for its attendees. I'm just really hoping Roblox doesn't screw up RDC 2026. Something's off this year and it seems like a bad omen.
