If I were a leftist and wanted to prevent deportations and closed borders, I'd make sure that people believe that the right wing wants to deport tax paying, language learning individuals who haven't committed any crimes. As a right winger I'd make sure they DON'T believe that.

At its most basic, the vibecession argument is that economic sentiment no longer tracks w. unemployment, inflation, wages. No one can isolate what it is tracking, and w/ no theory, the divergence from material reality is troubling, since the economy is not worse than the GFR.
