We're just a biological speculation Sittin' here, vibratin' And we don't know what we're vibratin' about And the animal instinct in me Makes me wanna defend me It makes me want to live when it's time to die

"How will we know which T. rex is which? This will be confusing!" Very easy: one will be called T. rex, and the other will be called Tylosaurus :)

Printed a Revueltosaurus skull for some outreach this week. Once thought to be an early dinosaur, this friend is actually more closely related to crocs. Specimens from Petrified Forest NP were the first to determine this important discovery. #fossilfriday #triassicpark

~2018 I checked a waterline trench for fossils in PEFO’s backcountry and noticed a bone layer that I marked with a screwdriver. Yesterday I revisited the site and found my screwdriver, where I had nearly unknowingly nailed an in-situ dinosaur femur! #fossilfriday #triassicpark

Sometimes all you need is a small fragment of a fossil for an ID. This Desmatosuchus osteoderm preserves the anterior lamina and rough lateral margin unique to the aetosaur taxon. #fossilfriday #triassicpark

I have seen an angel. We breathed the same air, if only for a moment.

to be fair, I reviewed the saurischian paper but didn’t know its status and the croc came out of left field

Was in @PerotMuseum recently with only a few lights on. The dim light made it easier to see the deep recesses in each neural spine of the big Alamosaurus neck series, and showed off how wide each spine is. This would have been such a thick-necked animal in life! #FossilFriday
