So I’m wondering, for those of you that have been investing in markets for many decades; most of us are accountable to somebody. So back in 1974, if you’re fortunate enough to have been there, or 2002 or 2007 when your investment accounts are 401(k)s were down 30% or 40% or worse, what did you say to your partner or significant other about how you managed it? What did you say to your fund manager about never selling anything, even if it was outrageously valued? And what were the lessons you learned then that you apply today? Or didn’t? Remember, being prudent is what saved some. There was no way to know it was happening.

Remember Judge Gildea's point about the ID documentary? He zeroed in on a critical question: How could Karen Read's statements in the documentary qualify as petitioning the government when the documentary wasn't even scheduled to be released until after her criminal case had been adjudicated? (Yes, we now know the jury ultimately hung, but Karen couldn't have known that when she made those statements.) At the time, the jury was already deliberating, meaning there was no pending governmental decision for her documentary comments to influence. That's why Judge Gildea raised the issue in the first place. And here we have further proof of that exact issue.

For a case centered on alleged witness intimidation and supposed wrongdoing by a journalist, the Commonwealth seems remarkably allergic to transparency. Journalism is not a crime. The public deserves to see what the Commonwealth is trying to keep sealed.
