@NotWeird_Wild @MariucciManiacs He’s done more with less than just about any other coach. We’re never going to be Ohio St, Michigan, etc, as there’s not enough talent close to here. If he can go 7-5 or 8-4 most years with the occasional 2019 season, that’s as good as we can expect unless we find a Phil Knight.

@MariucciManiacs Maybe if we were UMD, UND, etc, but we’re not. PJ Fleck has been excellent and looks like we’re on the right track with Medved. While I like hockey, it’s at best a distant 2nd to football and LIKELY 3rd as far as the administration is concerned. Coyle can stay as long as he likes

Anything below a B is laughable.
In eight years, he compiled 161-82-21 record, a Title Game appearance, two Frozen Fours, and five NCCA Tournament appearances along with three B10 titles (plus one B10 tourney title).
He didn't win it all, so I can maybe see a B, but be serious.

All kidding aside, this is a mistake IMO. Bob is an elite coach. Gophers had to completely rebuild that roster last offseason and in the Big Ten, with those programs? Pack a freaking lunch. He deserved at least another year to turn that around. He’s got the equity.
