@paullewismoney I can testify from experience that by no means all the fees are paid by the foreign office. This is part of an essential package that they are forced to pay because they might well post you to Ulan Bator mid school year with little notice

The fees plus VAT will be paid for by the foreign office but the VAT goes to the Treasury! So net it won’t cost more. Same will apply to armed forces parents who get contribution towards private education for their kids bit.ly/3Uhb1yN the campaign against it gets sillier

I will never understand how a c section is not treated in the same manner as any other major abdominal surgery. The expectation that women should be able to care for a newborn, get up and deal with it, with a bit of paracetamol onboard.
