This is retarded thinking. China has less landmass than the US, but has nearly 3 times the pollution emissions. So they have a smaller country, but their air has about three times the amount of pollution.
Would you rather go into a smaller room with three times the amount of smoke in it just because there were more people in there?
Also, look at emissions by GDP. Their economy is 2/3 of our size yet emits almost 3 times the pollution.
Finally, China has 451 million rural people who are going to be coming online and demanding more energy in the next few decades. This is why China is building a new coal plant every single day and why they accounted for 93% of coal plants added in the entire world in 2024.
Their pollution overall and per capita is about to get a lot worse.
