Once again reminder "trigger discipline" and "using the safety" and other such rules were made up by the US army like 50 years ago to keep stoned 18 yo draftees from shooting each other's toes off, not handed down from God on a stone tablet. The most important gun rule is to have fun!

Utilizing a safety on your rifle is the lowest skill requirement when it comes to shooting. After the first couple weeks of handling a rifle, it should be subconscious. When eyes leave optic - safety comes on. It’s that simple. The safety only slows you down if you suck.
