@BillyM_91 Everyone here acting like going out and playing flag football is more likely to result in an injury than just driving to the store and getting in a car crash.
English

@planterspunch7 @OleTimeHardball I initially thought that as well but I'm too biased and had to get my Reds
English

@RangersFanCave @therealcrazymae @OleTimeHardball I'm just saying Bench was flawless all the way around defensively & while was all time great as well Bench had no chinks in the armor. Tough to bring the greatest down on 1 metric which was relatively close. I would submit Pudge is the greatest at shutting down the run for sure.
English

@NotoriousBLJ @therealcrazymae @OleTimeHardball Fair point on the framing. But Pudge's 46% CS rate is all-time elite and he did it in the steroid era against juiced-up runners. That context matters. Hard to dock him for pitch framing metrics that weren't even tracked until decades later.
English

@JamesSo426 @MLFootball This is actually the correct play iirc, he was holding for at least 5 yds before it otherwise it's a td because he leaves him in the dust.

NEWS: Former Cincinnati linebacker Logan Wilson revealed now that he is retired he believes the #Bengals were robbed in the Super Bowl against the Rams.
“It still wasn’t holding in my humble opinion”
The refs made one of the most controversial calls ever:
English

@OleTimeHardball Greg Maddux is the best imo. But Nolan Ryan ain't no joke either. Bob Gibson gets a shout out & Pedro scared me. My favorite though would be Jose Rijo, fun guy dominant in his prime.

@NickBAwesome @Haqiqatjou A muslim is a better human being, this is defined in the Quran as well.. There are rules as to how a muslim treat eachother and how muslim sees others.
We have "Forbid evil and enjoin good" as a first principle of living.
Allah tells this in the Quran aswell.
English

@Haqiqatjou And that my friend is real police work how it should be done!
English

@OleTimeHardball Top 10 In order:
Barry Larkin
Joey Votto
Eric Davis
Jose Rijo
Ryan Hanigan (Yes Hanny)
Joe Nuxhall
Frank Robinson
Joe Morgan
Johnny Bench/Pete Rose
Shout out BP, Brandon Phillips you just missed the list but you were a blast to watch as well.
English

@OleTimeHardball Barry Larkin is so underrated it's wild. Best Shortstop of his era, honestly better than any I ever saw when considering his entire game. Few had his defensive chops plus hit for avg, for power & ran/stole bases at such an efficient clip. He's Jeter (offensively) with elite def.

English

@ezq_24 @MLFootball Probably the same as this one at the end of the 1st quarter where Ramsey was holding Tee for 5 yards.

English

@MLFootball I wonder what his opinion is about the Tee Higgins facemask 🥱🥱
English

@RangersFanCave @therealcrazymae @OleTimeHardball His advantage is largely predicated on the fact he had longevity. But when comparing every aspect of defense Pudge might have had a better cs rate 46% to 43% but in other aspects of defense like game calling, pitch framing, etc Johnny Bench was elite also, Pudge not as much. English

@NotoriousBLJ @therealcrazymae @OleTimeHardball Pudge won 13 straight Gold Gloves. Bench won 10. Pudge's career dWAR is 22.4. Bench's is 12.4. That's not "maybe." That's miles. Nobody in history threw out baserunners like Pudge did.
English

@therealcrazymae @OleTimeHardball Yogi isn't in the conversation. Bench was terrific and he and Pudge are 1A and 1B for greatest catcher of all time. Bench was slightly better offensively. Pudge was miles better defensively. That's why I give the edge to Pudge.
English

@JPL0575 @Michael82857947 @OleTimeHardball What you don't see the similarities? 2 light hitting guys on offense with good speed who were excellent defenders? One with more popularity because he did cartwheels so he won every gold glove & got voted as an All Star. Even when he shouldn't have later in his career.
English

@flamcheesy No you wouldn’t. It’s Goodberry and then everyone else. There isn’t a close 2nd.
English

And any other era you wanna talk about. The Ohio State University has been by far the best producer from top to bottom in the NFL modern day at WR (and a few other positions tbf). ⭕️-H‼️

@CoachMinich We honestly need to trade down more, this would be a great time for it!
