I think the Bills signing Bradley Chubb is a solid move. Good player if healthy. That's a BIG if though. He's torn his ACL three times. Once in HS and twice in the NFL.
I'd still prefer the Bills add a pass rusher with their 1st pick in the draft

The percentage of officers (esp O-5 and below) who had combat experience prior to WWII is round-able to zero. Those who did it was in WWI trench warfare. The most valuable interwar experience came from exercises and *gasp* War Colleges. Combat experince can't be counted on.
