‼️SLTs working in acute / community hospitals‼️ Who is responsible for thickening drinks on your wards? Kitchen staff / housekeepers / Nursing staff / HCAs / clinical / non-clinical etc. Big query regarding this at LBH at the moment so interested to know the general consensus!

Our Team Lead, #SLTSarahW , has taken on the #IDDSIChallenge over lent & eating ONLY liquidised, puréed and minced & moody food!! (@iddsi_org Levels 3, 4 & 5) in order to highlight the challenges our pts can face. All whilst raising money for @TheStrokeAssoc 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Go Sarah!!

4. #SLTSarahW had some feedback from a pt she had referred for Botox for saliva management saying it had “completely changed her life”! 🌟 5. #SLTSarahR made us some lovely coasters for our desks!

It’s #StrokePreventionDay ! This year’s focus in on atrial fibrillation (contributing to 1/5 strokes) so we’re taking some time to check our pulses!

Last night we said a final farewell to 2 of our B7 therapists @SLTDeeW & @nicolescreaton They have both been part of this service for a long time & had a huge impact on patients & the service as a whole. We will miss them dearly, but wish them luck with their future endeavours 🥲
