@AnthropicAI The real question is not whether AI is “ethical.” The question is: in whose service is it built, and by whom is it governed? AI ethics cannot be reduced to corporate virtue. It must be rooted in democratic power and public accountability.

@AnthropicAI Good intentions are not enough. The question isn’t whether AI labs have ethics, but whether the moral rules shaping AI are democratically deliberated or technocratically imposed. AI comes from our collective intelligence; its guardrails must belong to democratic institutions.

@bcherny @tsarchitect_ @AnthropicAI I used to strongly prefer Claude over Codex because it was intuitive and knew exactly what I needed + which tools to use. Now it’s the opposite ! I use more Codex !

@tsarchitect_ @AnthropicAI Claude does have self knowledge — does it not invoke the Guide agent? If so, mind running /feedback and sharing the id here?

hey @bcherny @AnthropicAI would be amazing if claude had something like an updating product-self-knowledge skill so it actually knows its own current capabilities. me and a few friends keep running into the same thing that claude often has no clue about what it can do or how its own features work. e.g. had to tell claude code to research about /goal to understand that it can do it

@bcherny @tsarchitect_ @AnthropicAI Same persistent issue here too. Even after reminding Claude several times in the same session, it still forgets (Computer Use, Browser, Terminal, etc.). I often have to repeat the reminder multiple times before it actually uses them. This self-awareness gap remains a real problem

I actually can’t stand using AI tools that don’t have extensive context of me and my goals. I tried to use Notions built in agent features and immediately got mad when it didn’t have context over me. I’m using 2 AI tools now > Codex and > a Claw through iMessage. Claw = Persistent agent running on its own computer 24/7, with memory that I can text (Not OpenClaw its been unreliable)

This reflective text on AI is not concerned with questions like “Are models truly intelligent?” or “Do they have consciousness?” but rather with a meditation on what the person becomes in the age of electrified symbols. intlekt.io/2026/05/21/art…

@NotebookLM Welcome back! All the other Google apps got updates — but its most amazing app hasn't gotten anything yet. When's the live voice feature coming to NotebookLM? :)

@petergyang I’d ask whether Gemini is designed for real user empowerment or just segmented product tiers! True AI democratization means helping users cross boundaries — from consumer to learner, from learner to builder, from builder to creator.

@petergyang In the AI era, every user can be a learner, creator, developer, researcher, and entrepreneur. A great AI app should not reserve deep workflows for enterprise while giving everyday users only a simplified gadget layer.

@petergyang I’d ask how Gemini plans to become a true empowerment layer for everyday users. Mass access is not enough. Democratization should mean depth, continuity, and real agency — not just a collection of flashy tools.

@petergyang I’d ask how they plan to turn Gemini into a real assistant workspace... Also, many answers feel too surface-level — good summaries, but not enough depth, persistence, or follow-through. Gemini needs more than tools: it needs workflow and depth !

@petergyang The models are powerful, but the app still feels fragmented: Gems are isolated, there’s no Projects-like structure, and features like Deep Research or image generation don’t yet feel smoothly integrated into continuous work. Gemini needs a workspace, not just tools.

@_sholtodouglas Claude is still excellent but harder to rely on long-term. For builders, stability, transparency, openness, and room to experiment matter as much as raw model quality !

When do you reach for other models instead of Claude? What can we do better? Hit me with all of your frustrations. dms open. If you can give me detail (e.g. specifics/transcipts) - it'll help a lot in finding out exactly what we need to do to improve the next model

@_sholtodouglas Claude may be brilliant, but I don’t use it much because the limits make every question feel expensive. A personal assistant is built through daily continuity, trust, and attachment. If I’m always afraid of hitting limits, I eventually stop asking — and stop bonding with it.

"Vision" (2013) by Palestinian (Ramallah) Artist Nabil Anani Because our roots go deep into the earth, Past the reach of the passing storm, We shall remain. Like the olive trees that stand, Suckling life from the ancient rock, We shall remain. With our children’s laughter, With our songs of the harvest, We weave the tomorrow of this soil. - Excerpt from the poem "The Roots" by Fadwa Tuqan

You have to do better with that brand new $1 billion CAD propaganda budget. Arabs rejected the "two-state solution" in 1947 because it gave 55% of the land to the Jews who at that time owned only 7%. Arab armies "invaded" only after months of Jewish terror depopulating dozens of Palestinian villages and neighbourhoods. Doesn't everyone know that by now? Read "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine" by Israeli historian Ilan Pappe.

In 1947, the UN offered a two-state solution. The Jews said YES. The Arabs said NO. Neighboring Arab countries invaded the young Israel. If you reject peace and start a war, you can’t claim victimhood. History matters. 🇮🇱
