I'm at the Ministry of Injustice and Jokes in London. Henry Nowak was stabbed 5 times with 8 inch blade and his alleged attacker's charges are potentially being downgraded from "murder" to "manslaughter"!!! This is unconscionable and the perfect example of two-tier justice.

I still can't get my head around this. Keir Starmer *took the knee* for George Floyd. He *spoke in parliament* about Adolescence, a fictional Netflix series. But when Henry Nowak, a young white lad, is *stabbed to death* by a Sikh man and HANDCUFFED by police while he was dying, Keir Starmer says ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! The man is morally repugnant. @ShChildBoxing The referee saved him from future Parkinson’s injury, that’s a fact, a good stoppage by the way.

With the benefit of a slow motion rewatch, we can get an idea why the referee stopped the fight. Rico had just been dropped hard and was still hurt after around 20 seconds. Then Usyk hit him with 9 or 10 straight power shots before the bell. The last few very clean.

I’ve seen comments like “it was the worst stoppage in boxing history” which just isn’t true. You have to add context to this. Rico was heavily knocked down when he got up his legs were unsteady. Disgracefully he was allowed an extra 10 plus seconds to recover when his gum shield came out. Usyk then backed him in the corner and landed hard power shots on his jaw. Whilst I can understand calls for letting the fight go on as it was near the end of the round, you can’t blame the referee for stopping it in this scenario. Rico was in big trouble. However, the biggest problem was the bell sounding at the end of the round and the ref not hearing it. That’s the biggest injustice for Rico. I think the fight should be overturned to a non contest. You can’t make mistakes like this in such a big fight. The bell sounded. That’s it! Rico should have gone to his corner. Vitali Klitchsko a former kick boxer who transitioned to boxing was robbed outta a win vs Lennox Lewis He became an all time great too I guess boxing fans are to stupid to understand multiple kick boxers have transitioned to boxing and have had successful careers

Funny that boxing really went to the pyramids of Giza for an event where they’re surrounded by ancient hidden tombs meant to protect Pharoahs from grave robbers stealing their hoards of gold just to have Rico Verhoeven robbed live on PPV for a golden belt.
