@Novine_Farm @ubctvuganda You need better branding and packaging. If I must buy coffee there must be something attractive about it with the packaging. Speaking as a concerned customer.

Thomas Tayebwa: When all these controversies happened, I wanted to take a step back and not offer myself for Deputy Speaker. Some of the things they were writing about me on social media were unpalatable. I even sent messages to some people asking them whether I was that evil.

Biggest mistakes done by young beginner coffee farmers Most people have been asking me about the dos and don’t when setting up a coffee farm and today allow me talk about the biggest mistakes we do as young farmers One mistake many beginner coffee farmers make is rushing to plant before understanding what they are getting into. Coffee looks profitable from the outside but the farm is built long before the first harvest comes. I have seen people buy seedlings today because prices are high, only to abandon the farm two years later because they were not prepared for the patience, discipline and investment coffee needs. Another big mistake is choosing land without studying the soil and environment. Some people plant coffee anywhere simply because they own the land. Later the coffee becomes yellow, weak and unproductive. A beginner should first test the soil understand rainfall patterns, drainage and the type of coffee suitable for that area. Good land preparation may look expensive at first but it saves years of frustration. Spacing is another thing many people ignore. Beginners want to maximize numbers and end up overcrowding the garden. The farm looks beautiful in the first year but later diseases increase, sunlight reduces and yields drop badly. Coffee needs space to breathe. A well-spaced farm will always do better than a crowded one over time. Many youths also make the mistake of buying cheap seedlings from random roadside nurseries because they want to save money. In reality, cheap seedlings become expensive later through poor yields and disease problems. Always buy healthy seedlings from trusted nursery operators even if they cost a little more like @mildredtuhaise One painful mistake I have personally observed is neglecting the farm after planting. Some people think once seedlings are in the ground, the work is done. They forget mulching, irrigation during dry spells, pruning, shade management and weed control. Coffee farming rewards consistency more than excitement. The small things done repeatedly are what build a productive farm. Another mistake is planting coffee without a market plan. Many beginners focus only on growing coffee but never think about quality, buyers, post-harvest handling or which market they want to target. Yet the difference between ordinary and premium coffee starts from the farm itself. If you want better prices tomorrow start farming for quality today. And lastly, many young farmers try to do everything alone. Coffee is one industry where relationships matter a lot. Work with agronomists, experienced farmers, exporters, cooperatives and fellow youths in the value chain. Some people have knowledge, others have markets, others have capital. Growth becomes faster when people collaborate honestly. Coffee farming is not a quick money business. It is a patience business, a discipline business and a vision business. The farmers who win are usually the ones who prepare well before planting and remain consistent even when results delay. Have a nice week and For God and my country

Help me understand, if you have 3 people nominated for the Speakership elections, and they are known, how is it possible that 3 MPs have voted for a candidate who is not among the 3 nominees? Are we being serious guys?

With our feeding plan and type of coffee we grow yes it is . The coffee grown under this style is good for the first 3 yrs but after that the coffee will form a small forest , sunlight penetration will be low , high competition for nutrients and also disease and pest management becomes more difficult
