He explained trickle down economics as a pie. Poverty is not a default state. That is the most out of touch statement.

Exactly. They wrongly assume wealth causes poverty but poverty is the default state. It is not created by anything. Its just the absence of everything else. Anything above that must be created, earned, given, or taken. Capitalism has been the best system for moving the most people from poverty.
