@patrickklepek Chronically misunderstood? Bubsy 3D is terrible. It’s so bad it’s memeble. I can’t fault the developers, however, as Mario 64 was just so advanced in all aspects….they knew they were screwed.

@Darlectro @ManaByte When you said that they had to choose between Destiny or Marathon, it sort of implied to shut down the latter. Also, handing over a live service game to another studio has never been done successfully & would be a recipe for disaster. Marathon was supposed to last for years.

@Darlectro @ManaByte So you’re suggesting to shut down Marathon now after all the time and money put into it? That’s suicide. Sony already lost 375 million and they’re blaming it on Bungie. Why would they risk on losing more by shutting down Marathon this early?

@Darlectro @ManaByte I disagree. They cannot juggle two live service games in the same time. They’re already stuck with Marathon. Sony shut down most of their live service projects & Bluepoint got the ax after a failed GoW live service. If they go for another Destiny, it has to be single player.

@NowOnAFM @ManaByte Nah. Destiny is the only path. It has an established fanbase and it's easier to win people back with a sequel to a previously hugely successful franchise than to gamble on a new single player IP. Plus, live services straight up make more money and Sony wants return on investment.

@PaulTassi Hurts for the active player base, but to say it’s over is overdramatic. The game will still be here & there’s no talk of sunsetting servers. Furthermore, source for all expansions being cancelled? This final update might have been the plan all along. 12 years is respectable.

People are literally dragging the CREATOR of Final Fantasy because he said that an AI rendition of Final Fantasy VI (a pixel based game) looked awesome when visualized as 3D through AI. People have lost their minds. The CREATOR of the game can’t even enjoy art of his own game.

What a hilarious headline. My personal take is that it’s an amazing “proof of concept”. Yes, it’s AI generated, but whoever fed the AI did something go make the “what if” scenarios come to life. It will definitely generate interest of a “hand made” FF6 remake concept.
