Out of respect of riders that have fallen in a crash and their families at home. The CPA does not support TV coverage to continue to film them while they are down. Riders have reached out to me asking if we can make this a rule and we support that. Please be mindful.

According to SafeCycling, an organisation that manually scrapes crash data and provides organisers with safety solutions and data, Jonas Vingegaard had already warned before the season started about descents at #Itzulia2024. SafeCycling offered their crash data to the Itzulia Basque Country organisation, and the organisation did not respond. Yes, this was not a per se "dangerous descent" but I would expect those concrete ditches and rocks on the side of the road to at least have protection.

We invite riders, team leaders, viewers, and anyone concerned about rider safety to share with us any unsafe sections of cycling competitions that they believe should be boycotted. Your input is invaluable in our collective efforts to prioritize the well-being of cyclists.

Now to start our quest for riders safety. We propose a viewer boycot for the following race: - Competition: Paris Roubaix - Section: Toureé d’Arenberg - When: 164.4 Km - 166.8 Km - Proposed boycot: 159.4-169.4 - Reason: Dangerous chicane before cobble section

We extend our heartfelt wishes for the swift recovery of all riders involved in recent crashes. We also honor the memory of those who faced tragic consequences in these incidents.

While we deeply admire the world of cycling and acknowledge the difficulties race organizers face, the time has come for decisive action to protect the sport we hold dear. Our proposal for partial boycotts seeks to illuminate the critical issue of rider safety, urging change.

This account, run by concerned cycling enthusiasts, observes from afar. Tired of risking riders' lives, we aim to share vital safety updates. We urge @UCI_cycling to enhance rider safety and suggest boycotting perilous sections of cycling events.
