🔥 "Sesko all day... leaner, faster!"
👏 "Sesko's done it against teams competing at the top end of the table, unlike [Gyokeres]"
Matterface & Crook insist #MUFC's Sesko has proved to be better than Gyokeres, despite the #AFC striker scoring more goals!
@PeterObi You've not been able to rescue a single political party and you want to rescue Nigeria? Is there any scam bigger than that? It's not about personal ambition, then, what is it about? Victims of con artists are always obsessed. Your followers are obsessed and delusional.
"The condition of our nation and the urgent need to rescue Nigeria, informed my decision to leave ADC for NDC."
Yesterday, I formally joined the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), alongside my dear brother, Engr. Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, with one clear purpose: to continue the struggle for a new Nigeria built on justice, competence, accountability, and compassion for the ordinary Nigerian.
As I stated yesterday, this decision was not made out of anger, personal ambition, or convenience. It came after deep reflection on the present condition of our nation and the urgent need to rescue Nigeria from the dangerous path it is currently heading.
Over the years, I have remained steadfast in my conviction that politics should never be about individuals, positions, or personal gain. It must be about the people, especially the millions of Nigerians who today can no longer afford necessities, whose businesses are collapsing, whose children are losing hope, and whose future is becoming increasingly uncertain.
I left the ADC for the same reason I left the Labour Party: the severe, orchestrated litigation and internal crises deliberately designed to ensure that I, alongside many other notable individuals, do not effectively participate in the electoral process. I sincerely appreciate and remain deeply grateful to the Leadership of ADC for the opportunity to work together in pursuit of a better Nigeria. I am particularly grateful to ADC Chairman Senator David Mark for his exceptional Leadership. I also deeply appreciate my Leader and elder brother YE, Atiku Abubakar, as well as other respected leaders within the party.
As we join the NDC, I sincerely appeal to the Nigerian Government against the encouragement of unresolved litigations and the infusion of crises within political parties. Democracy must never become a weapon against the people. A healthy democracy thrives on strong institutions, credible alternatives, and the freedom of citizens to make choices without intimidation, manipulation, or fear. Opposition parties must not be weakened or destroyed, because when democracy loses balance, the people ultimately suffer.
Nigeria today is passing through one of the most difficult periods in its history. Poverty is rising. Hunger is widespread. Insecurity continues to threaten lives and livelihoods. Businesses are shutting down daily. Our young people are becoming discouraged, and many citizens have lost faith in the system. At a time like this, leadership must be driven not by propaganda or division, but by competence, capacity, character, and compassion.
Our decision to join the NDC is therefore not an abandonment of values, but a continuation of the same mission we have always stood for: building a Nigeria where leadership is about service, where public resources are managed responsibly, where institutions function independently, and where every Nigerian, regardless of tribe, religion, region, or social status, can live with dignity, security, and hope.
I remain committed to working with all Nigerians of goodwill across political, ethnic, and religious lines. The task before us is bigger than any individual or political party. It is about the future of our children and the survival of our dear nation.
I thank Nigerians, especially our youths and women, for remaining peaceful, resilient, and hopeful despite the enormous challenges confronting the country. I urge you not to lose faith in Nigeria. Nations do not change because people surrender to hopelessness; they change because people continue to believe, continue to sacrifice, and continue to stand for what is right.
A new Nigeria is still POssible. -PO
@PeterObi You are not a trustworthy person. No reasonable person will embark on any journey with you. You bale at the slightest sign of trouble. Leaving whoever is with you. Very selfish. Always preaching how you're a saint and a victim at the same time. Very desperate with selfishness.
Fellow Nigerians, good morning.
I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you.
Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances.
We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal.
More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism.
We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power.
Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise.
Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them.
However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building.
Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated.
And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions.
There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline?
Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from.
Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
@Big_Mck@PeterObi Oga you're talking to the wrong person. Obi is all talk and no walk. Consumption to production. What did he do for Nnewi(the manufacturing hub) as a governor? And besides he's a tool in the hands of "imperialists".
Sir, now that you have left ADC, after previously leaving Labour Party for the same reason, and NDC or any other party doesn't seem likely to be different, it is time to join the anti-imperialist struggle. It is the only meaningful struggle on the African continent now.
Imperialism is the root cause of your problems. It is the reason why they can never allow you to be president. In case you are not aware, they will never let someone who made his campaign slogan “from consumption to production,” models China and talks tough about lifting Nigerians out of poverty to be president.
You are rich. You can channel some of that money into funding programs aimed at decolonization, rather than wasting them on Nigeria’s current (electoral) democratic system. A decolonized population is what your presidential bid needs.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
@SamuelOmogor You conveniently omitted "that period". And you know you're lying about the "fits all heads". I won't give you any information. Put effort in, in doing research.
You can't be so stewpid and very proud about it. Who is Gen-Z? Nobody imported anything from China? Are you joking?
The label in the cap my very senior brother use reads, 'FITS ALL HEADS- MADE IN CHINA'. I can still remember that vividly because i wore the cap after he finished. Stop talking nonsense
The NYSC was established in 1973. The uniforms and other kits, including caps, were imported then from China and were of very good quality. The uniforms from China were last worn by the 1986 or 1987 set. Tinubu, we were told, graduated from Chicago State University in 1979, which was six years after the establishment of the NYSC scheme. What this means is that if Tinubu participated in the scheme, he would have worn the uniforms, including the caps imported from China.
I don't think anybody should be surprised. With Tinubu, anything is possible. The only man in the history of the world who attended a school two years before the school was established. If that can happen, he can also wear the NYSC uniforms produced in Nigeria long before they were introduced.
A fi suru.
@yabaleftonline It has nothing to do with Nigerians. It has everything to do with physics. It allows air to go through and don't blow away the bill boards.
@chijiokeubabui1@ADCVanguard_ This is manipulation. They know Obi is just lucky to have the traction. They know he's incapable. They're using him as a distraction.
@instablog9ja The support for Peter Obi is purely on vibes. Go and verify is a vibe check & absolute nonsense. He knows his supporters don't know facts & don't wish to know facts. As a governor, what did he do for Nnewi? The manufacturing hub of Anambra. So much for consumption to production
The Support for Peter Obi Is Driven by Tribal Sentiments, Tinubu Will Win 2027 Election — Shehu Sani
Former Senator representing Kaduna Central and APC chieftain, Shehu Sani, has described the growing support for former presidential candidate Peter Obi as being driven by “tribal sentiments” while insisting that President Bola Tinubu will win the 2027 presidential election.
Sani made the remarks during an appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he spoke alongside human rights activist Deji Adeyanju on Nigeria’s political situation and leadership direction.
According to him, the enthusiasm around Peter Obi does not represent real political change. He said: “The support for Peter Obi is tribal”, many of those supporting him and those who come from his ethnic background. If Obi becomes the President of Nigeria today, nothing changes, everything remains the same.”
He further argued that Nigeria’s major political figures are not ideologically different, claiming they share similar political thinking. In his words: “Obi, Obasanjo, Atiku, and Tinubu are people who come from the same ideological perspective. They are people who share the same political thinking.”
Sani also predicted the outcome of the next general election, insisting that President Tinubu will retain power in 2027. He added that Nigerians are essentially choosing between similar political options, describing it as “the choice between Satan and the devil.”
@instablog9ja A man marries who regards, respects, serves and is loyal to him. In return, he protects, provides and guides his wife. And this best with developed friendship & understanding. Love is immaterial in marriage. Physical attraction is also important.
The Ibadan Opposition summit is a good talk shop. But let’s be honest with ourselves;During Buhari’s first term in office (2015-2019),Can any Governor in the North dare to host a summit of opposition leaders with the objective of ejecting him out of power?
I was wrong about him.
Martin Ødegaard is the soul of this team without him, we look completely lost when it comes to creativity.
This team needs Martin Odegaard
I Declined the Ibadan “Opposition Summit” Nigerians Deserve a Genuine Alternative, Not Recycled Failure
I was invited to attend the so-called “Opposition Summit” in Ibadan, but I declined.
There is no need to pretend that the same men (and a few women) who held Nigeria to ransom for years, presiding over stagnation, corruption, and systemic decay, can suddenly reinvent themselves as champions of progress or defenders of the people.
Not all Nigerians are suffering from amnesia.
For the avoidance of doubt, our revolutionary party, the African Action Congress (@aacparty ), will not be part of any charade designed to recycle failed political actors under the guise of “opposition.”
Instead, we are committed to presenting a formidable, people-driven alternative, one rooted in integrity, accountability, and genuine transformation.
We will mobilize Nigerians across the country to rally behind a credible vision that rejects the decadence and deception represented by both the @OfficialAPCNg and their opportunistic counterparts in ADC, PDP, Labour Party and elsewhere
Nigeria does not need a rearrangement of the same broken pieces, it needs a complete break from the past.
#AACOurParty#RevolutionNOW#TakeItBack
@OfficialPDPNig Being president of Nigeria in this modern times is ABSOLUTELY NOT about sentiments. Peter Obi absolutely doesn't have the capacity & the ability to be Nigerian president. Nigeria is fighting against external forces & needs a president who understands the MO of the external force
IBADAN DECLARATION
Communiqué issued at the end of Opposition Political Parties National Summit held on Saturday April 25, 2026 in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Participating Opposition Parties in Nigeria, after an extensive deliberation on the collective threats that we face and the existential challenges facing our country under the stranglehold of the oppressive and anti-democratic All Progressives Congress (APC) and given the need for urgent, collective action to rescue our nation and the destiny of over 200 million compatriots, hereby resolve as follows:
1. That we shall resist all machinations by the APC to foist a one-party State on Nigeria and fight for the survival of multi-party democracy in our country.
2. That despite the onslaughts and manoeuvrings of the ruling party, the APC to impose President Bola Tinubu as the sole Presidential candidate in 2027; we shall field candidates and contest the 2027 Presidential and other elections.
3. That we shall work towards fielding one Presidential Candidate for the 2027 elections, which shall be agreed and supported by all participating opposition parties to rescue our nation and her long suffering masses.
4. That the INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan, having shown bias and partisanship in favour of the ruling APC, should not conduct the 2027 general elections as Nigerians across board have lost confidence in him and his capacity to guarantee the required neutrality to deliver free, fair, transparent and credible elections. His continuous stay in office is vexatious and capable of triggering wide spread crisis in our nation.
5. That the National Assembly should immediately review the Electoral Act, 2026 to remove all sections that threaten the sanctity and integrity of the elections and run counter to constitutional provisions.
6. That all leading politicians that are being detained or harassed on bailable offfences be released with immediate effect and allowed to exercise their fundamental rights of participation and inclusivity as Nigerians.
7. That we consider the recent guidelines released by the INEC as obstacles, deliberately engineered to impose conditions and deadlines on the opposition parties. We therefore demand that INEC extends the deadline for primaries till the end of July, 2026.
8. The Summit commends Nigerians for their resilience and readiness to work with Opposition Parties to free our nation from State capture.
9. The National summit of Opposition Political Parties thank the Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde and the people of Oyo State for hosting the epochal event.
SIGNED:
Chairmen of Participating Opposition Parties.
Arsenal are simply a better football team when Martin Ødegaard is on the pitch. If you disagree, I’m sorry but you’re wrong.
On and off the ball, he’s the man that keeps it all together.
There was even a moment in the second-half when Noni Madueke made a mistake and there were slight groans from the home supporters. The Arsenal captain essentially told the fans to stop, and lift the energy.
The Emirates crowd listened and followed through until the final whistle.
How some Arsenal fans don’t appreciate Martin Ødegaard, I will never know.
Four more to go and with the captain on the pitch, we have a great chance of winning them all.
