@newbiedm What popped to mind for me was the efreet boss knows about the wyrmling, and knows that destroying the orb casually will also destroy that soul. It’s a double-bind on the dragon. But the dragon knows of a ritual to destroy it while saving the wyrmling soul.

So my players are going through the last adventure in Keys from the Golden Vault. I swapped the book to an Orb of Dragonkind that the efreet kept to control the dragon that's flying above the keep.
