Taking forward the vision of Hon'ble CM Shri @Naveen_Odisha for creating a #SwachhaOdishaSusthaOdisha, another transformative initiative #GreyWaterManagement is implemented under the aegis of #5T Governance through Community Partnership model. 1/6

After successful implementation of #GreyWaterManagement in #Jatni and #Dhenkanal on Pilot basis , Government has scaled up implementation in another 11 ULBs as Light House ULBs.2/6

The 11 Light House ULBs namely Angul, Balasore, Bargarh, Chatrapur, Dhenkanal, Hinjilicut, Jajpur, Jatni, Keonjhar, Koraput & Nayagarh with a target timeline to complete by December 2023.3/6

A State level workshop was organised at Bhubaneswar on 28th June for the Chairpersons, EOs and other key functionaries of the said 11 ULBs to train them on #GreyWaterManagement. More than 200 participants attended the workshop. 4/6

DMA, Additional Secretaries, Joint Secretary, EIC OWSSB, EOs ,Engineering Teams, MUKTA Professionals and TULIP Interns also participated in the workshop.6/6

Addressing the participants in the workshop Shri G Mathi Vathanan, Principal Secretary, H&UD Dept stated that #Odisha is going to be a torch bearer in the country in the implementation of this transformative #GreyWaterManagement initiative.5/6

H&UDD Addl. Secretary Ms Durgesh Nandini Sahoo presented the innovative and inclusive #CommunityPartnership initiative and Ms. Meghna Sahoo, President of Swikruti Transgender SHG shared her experience in the workshop attended by delegates from 21 states across India.2/3

The #Odisha model of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of FSTPs by @mission_shakti SHGs and Transgender groups was highly appreciated during the National Consultative Workshop on Used Water & Faecal Sludge Management Systems held at Raipur on 15-16th June 2023.1/3

Every individual is born with right to life with dignity. #Odisha Government has left no stone unturned to emancipate the excluded, distressed and the destitute, in cognizance to this. 236 transgender from 34 TG groups were identified and engaged in livelihood based programs. 1/2

Participants for the workshops comprise of elected leaders, officials and @mission_shakti SHGs managing Faecal Sludge & Septage Treatment Plants. 3/3

They are aimed at building coherent teams with elected leaders,officials and the @mission_shakti groups to manage the sanitation in the #ULBs. 2/3
