@KelleyKga I have always really appreciated your data driven approach to numerous subjects. But why are you supporting this proposed law? Voter fraud is basically non-existent - numerous studies and reviews have shown that. If there's nothing to fix, then what are we doing here?

@FreeRangeKids Let's just take this to the logical conclusion and say that kids shouldn't be allowed to cross the road, period. No more walking to school. The parents should drive them. Safely buckled in their seats. Traffic will flow smoother, too.

@NPCA Seems like a great opportunity to flood the zone and complain about all of the negative information being shared by this administration. Washington DC is basically a national park. Just get some influencer to post photos of a few qr codes and there you go.

@DTWillingham @educationweek I think this is just a survey version of "kids these days" retrospective thinking. The older generation always thinks the younger one is lacking in some way or another.

@DanWuori This makes me think of my recent experience watching a total eclipse. A complete feeling of awe. It's funny to think that feeling was a regular part of my life decades ago. And it makes kids' expressions of astonishment at seemingly everyday occurrences more understandable.

My next book - a journey through child development from prenatal to age three - will be called Wonderment…and for good reason. There’s not a lot that arouses awe in us as adults. After a point we’ve mostly seen it all. We’ve been there and done that. But there once was a time that each day held pure magic as the world revealed itself to us for the first time.
