@K3NYUO It is impractical to expect one nurse to effectively deliver care to 30 patients. What is the patient to nurse ratio in our public hospitals? How abt private hospitals? Stop hating on nurses.

@K3NYUO I don't know what your problem with nurses, but, u need to understand that our nurses are not entirely the problem. U find such a place has only one nurse who is supposed to triage, administer medications, attend to emergencies, educate pts, etc. Address the root issues.

Shout out to @bonifacemwangi for responding to my distress without me calling him . He arrived just in good time before I was almost bullied by the owners of the matatu and their friends in uniform he indeed is the people watch man the moment they saw him the conversation switched from hii ni kitu kidogo madam to madam Ebu muelewane 🙏 . With his help and several mugshots later and handwritten agreements they had no option but to pick the car next day and repair it . Asante sana watchman 🙏

@Kmtc_official why is it so difficult to get transcripts from your institution? Shouldn't these academic records be readily available at graduation? Why should a former student wait up to an year before getting their transcripts?

The IELTS test is what has barred quite a good number of nurses from relocating. Getting the required band score is a tall order for some people and easy for others. For those who have sat for IELTS more than once and failed to meet the required band score you can try OET

@justicechilling @libeyabethwel @ppbkenya @NCKenya Yes, but it would encourage specialization at a higher level and encourage upward professional growth. A BScN could be a prerequisite for specialization. Such that, for a diploma holder to specialize, he/she would have to first upgrade to BSN.

Clinical officers, doctors, and nurses, what do you do when a 15 year old comes to a facility you work at and inquires about various methods of family planning ? Like they want options on what they could use

I am disappointed with Mercy Tarus. I support her message but disagree with how she shared it. She disrespected leaders from Uasin Gishu, like Senator Jackson Mandago and other people's parents, by shouting at them and lecturing them. We don't do that here. She should apologise.

OET is more oriented towards the professional angle and as such, is easy to pass for most nurses.

Just seen an ad by Embu county government @CecilyMbarire hiring Registered nurses. The quoted pay ( gross of 35k) is the key reason nurses are quiting Kenya. Talk of peanuts, delayed salaries, lack of basic drugs, pathetic work environment. It is just unbearable.
