@ntvuganda @wakibi_z A car hire dealer is not the right person to confirm the mental stability (or instability) of a person
English

UPDATE: A car hire dealer has told court that murder suspect Christopher Okello Onyum is mentally stable, questioning claims of insanity raised by the defence.
The prosecution witness argued that the accused was able to search for a car hire service online, make payment via mobile money, and drive himself—actions he said an unstable person would struggle to carry out.
The remarks came under cross-examination by defence counsel, who challenged the witness on his qualifications to assess mental health.
The prosecution says seven more witnesses are yet to testify.

@SamsonMKasumba Trump is blocking Iran Ships.
Why? To injure Iran Economically.
Also, to frustrate those paying Iran to pass.
Inthe end Iran will miss such monies
English

Trump found the Strait of Hormuz open, bombed Iran and they closed it like everyone knew they would. He then failed to get them to open it, then he said he does not even care about it after all it is the problem of someone else! Those who need it can work on it getting open. Then he said he needed some of the money Iran is collecting. Well, now he has found out he needs it. Now Trump has blocked the same strait that Iran had blocked! If Iran blocking the strait is bad, what makes Trump blocking it good?
Is DJT OK mentally?

Politics of hate will not build Uganda.
When I posted that I had joined @AnitahAmong at the send-off of her mother in law, some of our supporters attacked me here. Honestly, even when we disagree politically, it doesn't make us enemies who should wish each other bad 1/2

@KwikirizaNova @danielkura23 You have the 4 now.
Organise 4 polls, with one of these and the rest inthe others, so that we have the FINE four.
English

The only way we can have a transparent voting process is through a POLL. With a poll, everyone will be able to follow and see the results in real time and it’s very hard to manipulate a poll.
Now, you’ll know that a poll has only 4 slots and this explains why the UOX EC considers the 4 most nominated.
This was very well explained at the beginning of the electoral process and no one objected. It’s surprising that it’s being questioned now.
If you ignored nominating your preferred candidate, you don’t have a right to question who was nominated and why🙏

Hello Hamzy, the question you’ve asked is enlightening…
I have been on this cosmos topic since the past three days and it’s been interesting so far.
First of all, you have to completely change how you view the concept of "down". In our daily lives, we are used to thinking that down means dropping towards the bottom of the universe. However, space does not have a floor or a ceiling. There is no universal up or down. Down is just the direction gravity pulls you. And the gravity of the Earth pulls everything directly toward its own center.
So for the people living in that red circle at the bottom of the globe, they do not feel like they are hanging upside down. Gravity is pulling their feet straight into the core of the planet. When they look up, they see the sky just like you do. To them, you are the one who is upside down.
And as for the spin, the Earth is spinning at over a thousand miles an hour at the equator. With that, you would naturally think a spin that fast would fling us off into space like a fast playground merry go round. But the Earth is incredibly massive.
Because of that huge size, its gravitational pull is overwhelmingly stronger than the outward push of the spin. Gravity holds us down tight to the surface, and the spin is nowhere near strong enough to break that tight grip.
It may look impossible for someone looking at a picture, but the core of the Earth is the magnet that keeps the whole system working.
I hope this answers your question. Thank you.

@Nuttyjonah8 @mubirumowzes @NASA_Orion ....and do some science, testing systems for Artemis III, mission to land on the moon by 2028.
Edison, NJ 🇺🇸 English

Coming Home Real Fast… and Not Asking for Directions 😄
As of this very moment, the @NASA_Orion spacecraft is slicing through space at a cool 135,660 miles from Earth -basically halfway between “we miss you” and “you better start boiling matooke.”
This isn’t just speed. This is orbital mechanics behaving like a Kampala Subaru on an Expressway mission - except guided by physics, not vibes.
Powered by the precision of the @NASAArtemis Program, Orion is currently riding gravity like a seasoned diplomat -leveraging the Moon’s pull in what scientists call a free-return trajectory. In simpler terms: even if you fell asleep at the controls (don’t try this at home), the laws of physics would still bring you back. Respect.
Now let’s put this into Ugandan context: At that distance, you’re not just “far from home”—you’re in that territory where even your aunties stop asking when you’re visiting and start saying, “Eh, this one has gone international for real.”
And the speed? Orion is re-entering Earth’s neighborhood at over 24,000 mph. That’s not just fast—that’s “blink and you’ve skipped three districts” fast. It’s the kind of velocity that turns atmospheric entry into a controlled fireball… scientifically referred to as plasma heating, but culturally we might call it “returning with serious energy.”
So as Orion barrels home, remember this: While we’re here debating fuel prices and traffic on Jinja Road, humanity is out there casually doing lunar flybys and deep-space navigation like it’s a weekend errand.
Uganda, my people -this is your reminder: Curiosity is not optional. The universe is moving. Fast.
GO NASA, and somebody tell Kyankwanzi, we are no longer just eating macaroni… we are tracking spacecraft.
The Orion spacecraft returns home tomorrow, splashing down off the coast of San Diego in California.

@mubirumowzes @patrickoyulu @NASA_Orion The purpose of this trip was to go to the furthest side of the moon( around )
English

@patrickoyulu @NASA_Orion OPP, alot is being said about these space missions. People out there are claiming that it is all a bluff. Them saying, 50 years ago, Armstrong and co landed on the moon, then why not land now with better technology?

@GODFREY_Kutesa Even when flying on a plane a child has to sit next to a woman as a rule. So this shdnt be a point of discussion. Y'all are perverts known worldwide.
English

The problem with most kindergartens and daycare centers is that they employ staff of a single gender. Most employees are women, and the only men around are usually the cook, cleaner, or shuttle driver.
When an intruder realizes that all the staff are female, they may sense that their mission will face less resistance.
Let the Gaba incident teach us the importance of having more male staff in early childhood education settings.
Where did we get the idea that babies and young children are safer around females than males. Isn’t this misguided?
We need balanced staffing.

If you want to be eaten alive in Kampala remind Ugandans that the senseless killer of babies in Ggaba is entitled to bail. There will be a lawyer who will represent him and apply for his bail I would assume. On this occasion let me also wait and see humans rights groups demand his bail as his right. It is hypocritical to pick and choose when we scream bail and when we go mute on bail.
