Most devastating this Monday is the news of the passing of my kojja, Ssalongo Robert Wamala Lumanyika, a former colleague and friend in the WBS TV newsroom. Kitalo nnyo.

Can we now talk about Anita “Annet” Among’s academic record?! For the last five years, we were told she is many things: a lawyer, an accountant (sometimes I hear “economist”), a former lecturer at MUBS and KIU, that she has Masters Degrees etc. What I gather is way less stellar than that! Two of my sources doubt she has a UNIVERSITY degree to begin with! Despite days of digging, I haven't come across a person who attended university with her. It is not even clear which university she attended! One story online says Makerere, others MUBS, another KIU! It would be great if some of her classmates, or people who know people that were at university with her came up and helped us clear the record. Two, are there MUBS or KIU students here, that she lecturered? What is not in doubt, and was at the centre of a court case after the 2021 elections is that her O-level papers carry the name “Anita Among”, her A-level papers carry “Anita Annet Among”. Given how the UNEB system works. That's huge! “Anita Among” and “Anita Annet Among” are TWO DIFFERENT people! I searched for evidence that she changed names legally. I didn't find that either! In the end, after days of digging, I found one person. A politician from Teso who says Among attended Tororo College of Commerce (TCC) with his sister, before she joined Centenary Bank taking on a low level job that didn't require papers. Actually, he says his sister doubts Among completed her studies at TCC! There's definitely a HUGE story somewhere with her papers, and I hope that someone can break it….

They both studied art and comedy! One does it thru cartoon work, and the other thru music, dance and drama.

@HamzahSsebunya Philosophy deals with universal concepts like truth, logic, and morality things every human uses daily. It’s general knowledge wrapped in dense vocabulary. Anyone with discipline can read the same texts and master it. But you still can't wake up and practice a proffession.
