It never rains but it pours for me Im admitted in hospital on drip as we speak My Blood pressure is dangerously high, l didnt know lm diabetic the reading was at 17 I fell twice at work today. I woke up feeling heavy also on the 2 times l fell l felt dizzy and my vision was gone. Im very grateful to my workmates and family who are even here with me at Mpilo Hospital supporting me. I pray this new reality will allow me to live a little longer to see my son grow 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you to @MoHCCZim Mpilo staff who are caring for me during this difficult time.

I need your support; I am setting up a “Cancer Intervention and support Foundation”: Target group: Black and minority groups ( open to all): In May 2023, I was diagnosed with bowel cancer, such news was devastating, with no supporting service to understand my culture, it seemed as though the whole world was at a standstill. In July 2024, another blow, another cancer diagnosis, this time in my liver. Both episodes led to successful operations and chemotherapies. I am lucky to be alive due to medical interventions; I became the first person in the UK to receive the mRNA cancer treatment. I want to use my unique lived experience, both as a survivor of 2 cancer attacks and the unique opportunity of being randomised selected in a once-in-a-lifetime global bowel cancer study, to set up a “cancer intervention and support foundation” that will benefit others. Rationale: “Research suggests that cancer patients often feel more comfortable sharing their experiences and emotions with fellow patients due to shared understanding and empathy. Peer support groups and patient-to-patient interactions have been shown to foster open communication, as individuals feel understood by those who have faced similar challenges” (BMJ, 2024; Pero, 2019) Some of the publications: “Elliot Pfebve is recognized as the first patient in the UK to receive a personalized mRNA cancer vaccine for bowel cancer.
