🆘🆘 CODE RED – EMERGENCY PLEA FOR MURRAY, A MANX CAT – JUST A KITTEN 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️ MURRAY WAS RECENTLY RESCUED BY PECAN CREEK ANIMAL RESCUE AND SANCTUARY (“PCARS”) – TO GIVE HIM A CHANCE AT LIFE ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 ➡️ PCARS IS A SMALL ANIMAL RESCUE THAT DOES TRULY AMAZING WORK. 😺😺😺 ➡️ PCARS HAS PUT OUT A REQUEST FOR DONATIONS TO HELP MURRAY WITH HIS MEDICAL, VETTING AND CARE EXPENSES. I DONATED $50 FOR THIS POOR LITTLE SOUL WHO HAS HAD A VERY ROUGH START TO LIFE ➡️ MURRAY’S STORY – Poor MURRAY is in rough shape and has a series of medical issues/concerns. He was surrendered by his people as they do not have money to take him to the vet to get him the care he needs. X-rays confirm that both front legs broken close to elbows. Consulting with vet who is best with orthopedic cases. May need to go to ortho specialist in Austin. Also deep gash cut all the way to teeth that needs repair – Likely lost a few teeth. In addition, there is some concern about left eye vision too. A specialist surgeon in Austin, consulted with his orthopedic colleague and he agreed a non-surgical approach is best for Murray – he will need significant additional physical and therapeutic treatments a vet. In addition, Murray also needs surgery for his upper lip injury, vet update appointments, vaccinations, neuter and physical therapy. A long road ahead for this little guy but hopefully a better future. He is currently on pain meds and crate rest to get stronger ➡️ MURRAY is now at PCARS to recover, receive further treatments, enjoy good food – gain weight, clean water, a comfy bed and most importantly all the TLC he deserves. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 ➡️ PLEASE SHARE AND DONATE IF YOU CAN, ALL DONATIONS CAN BE MADE DIRECTLY TO PCARS AT THE LINK BELOW. PLEASE MENTION “MURRAY”, IF POSSIBLE. DONATION LINK: ww.pecancreekanimalrescue.org/you_can_help.p… 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 JOE (ID 250664), 2 YO, MALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an aco - impound on 3/27/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 5/14/26 ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️🆘🆘 8TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – HIGHLY UNUSUAL AND SHELTER AT MAXIMUM CAPACITY- NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT/HELP JOE- HIGHEST EU/SILENT KILL RISK–🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 47 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ JOE IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 A volunteer writes: Perhaps feeling a little out of his depth here at the Care Center, Joe's taken to his den to sort things out. I don't want to assume, but I imagine there's an insurmountable kind of tinge to them only exacerbated by Joe's dedication to doing it all on his own. Joe came to us from a home with other cats and may prefer to do things this way as he also may not have a lot of experience meeting new people. We keep trying to explain that though we are new people, we also have treats, toys, blankets, and beds to offer. For his part, Joe seems almost entirely uninterested except not quite as he's adorably a little curious about treats. When it comes to making new friends or finding a forever family, we understand that Joe might have to try it his way first, we're just hoping that his forever family will love and appreciate his efforts as they welcome him into their home. Joe tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter and may be intimidated by small children. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 FUNK MASTER FLASH (ID 251585), 2 YO, MALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an agency on 4/8/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 5/14/26 ➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️🆘🆘 4TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – BEYOND URGENT - NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 34 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ FUNK MASTER FLASH IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and is deteriorating in the Adoptions room. While he has struggled to adjust to the shelter setting, he previously tolerated some touch and interaction with behavior staff. He is now displaying signs of more Fearfully Defensive Behaviors due to his high levels of FAS. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 A volunteer writes: We know Funk Master Flash likes the treats we leave for him. We also know that he prefers we not stare at him while he enjoys them. This is understandable for many reasons but also because Funk Master Flash could use a little extra space to collect his thoughts at the moment. Brought to us with two other cats when their guardian passed away, it must seem like the rug has been pulled from beneath his little paws. Settling into shelter life has been a considerable process and I'm not entirely sure Funk Master Flash knows where to start. Snuggled up in the back of his cubby and ready to air his grievances, we know he's not a fan of the Care Center but he shows bright and starry glimpses of the kitty he can be when he allows pets. We might not be able to see all of Funk Master Flash's best sides at the moment, but we hope that what we see is enough to convince someone that he's the cat for them. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you
