"It was a dream for us to have our home completed," says Khalaf Abdul Ibrahim from northern #Syria. Due to the challenging conditions and the local fighting the financial situation is difficult for many families in northern #Syria. Khalaf Abdul Ibrahim began reconstructing his house but had to stop due to limited funds. With support from the Syrian Humanitarian Fund 🇺🇳@OCHAFunds, @people_in_need helped Khalaf’s family rehabilitate their kitchen roof, floor, toilet and install a sink, doors, windows, sanitation pit, water tank, and electrical system. "Previously, we used to cook outside because the kitchen was unsuitable. Now, our cooking is cleaner because it is done inside," says Khalaf Abdul Ibrahim. His dream finally came true. Altogether, we supported the repair of 225 houses through cash-for-shelter assistance or by engaging construction companies. @CLOVEKVTISNI @OCHA_Syria

Polina from Balakliia, in the #Kharkiv region, wanted to learn pottery, but the war forced her family to flee, bringing fears and shattering her dreams. Thanks to the #UkraineHumanitarianFund, aid workers organized creative workshops and offered psychological support.

🧵 After a harsh drought in Afghanistan, communities in Sar-e Pul’s Kariz village are seeing water flow again. In 2025, @FAO built 10 check dams with @OCHAFunds support. Now full, they capture rain & snowmelt that once went to waste while protecting communities from flooding.

With support from @OCHAFunds, in coordination with @UNOCHA. WFP is on the ground in Wajir and Marsabit counties doing community mobilisation and registration, an essential step to ensure cash assistance reaches families most in need. This support enables them to purchase nutritious foods of their choice.
