I was talking to a friend and she casually said “you only really need about $18 million a year.” I asked her what she spends $18M a year on and she said “$5 million is just jet fuel.” Everyone thinks their number is “normal” The danger for operators is when your “basic needs” start creeping up faster than your business can sustain. I've seen guys scale from $800K to $1.5M then immediately lease the McLaren, hire 15 people, and move to a penthouse. Now they're pocketing less than when they had lower revenue. I've kept my personal burn rate the same for years even as the business grows, the rest gets deployed. Lifestyle creep is permanent, and it’s hard to go backwards once you've tasted the next level up. Keep your expenses low for as long as you can.

@cabeecroft23 The lady made govt presence felt in the IDP camps and to the downtrodden. Immediately her suspension was announced some started presenting their preferences. I mean minutes after the announcement. Since her removal that void has been very large. The mezaya began cashing in.

Northern activists and elites do not have problem with Malami. In their eyes, he is being persecuted for no apparent reason but they have very strong issues with Dr Betta Edu whose only error was to commit administrative blunders by trusting civil servants. To date, no public funds have been traced directly or indirectly to her. A point which of course can't be said of Malami

If I were a Vice Chancellor or President of a University today, my first audit would not be about finances. It would be about two things. All the department heads will be required to provide a detailed response to some questions, such as: 1. What type of graduates are we producing, and for what economy? 2. Where are our alumni two to three years after leaving campus? In my opinion, a university that cannot answer these questions is not running an institution. It is running a certificate factory.

Consumer Complaint Resolution Report Mrs. Esther Olasantan, a businesswoman from Isolo Community, Lagos State, purchased a carton of fish on January 30, 2026. Unfortunately, the fish became spoilt after purchase. Upon reporting the issue to the cold room management, she was informed that neither a refund nor a replacement would be provided for the damaged goods. Subsequently, she was referred to the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA), Ikeja Office for intervention. The General Manager of LASCOPA, Mr. Afolabi Solebo Esq., invited the cold room management for a mediation meeting. Following deliberations and resolution of the matter, the cold room management agreed to refund the sum of ₦180,000, being the cost of the fish, and an additional ₦20,000 as compensation to Mrs. Olasantan. This intervention ensured fair redress and reinforced consumer protection rights. @jidesanwoolu @drobafemihamzat @gbenga_omo @gboyegaakosile @LanreBajulaiye @BarrBimbola @Mr_JAGs @Riddwane #AGreaterLagosRising #LASG

Denmark is investing $83,754,486 in textbooks and turning away from its digital-first approach to education. This follows research showing that screens reduce concentration, impact mental health, and hurt student performance. Yet another dynamic to the EdTech debate.

Only STANBIC IBTC will pick up call and actually solve your problems, maybe because STANDARD Bank is their parent company. Other banks in Nigeria are such a disaster when it comes to Customer Complaints, especially GTB - an absolute catastrophe. Tried reaching them for a failed/pending transaction and none of the numbers on their websites are working. These banks rake in hundreds of billions yearly and can't even sort out their Customer Care infrastructure. Big shame!

This govt has done a lot for Dangote: it imposed 15% import levy, crude sold in naira, and removing NMDPRA’s boss. They even backed him against PENGASSAN and NUPENG. Now, over just 6 import licenses, he’s considering exporting fuel instead of serving Nigeria. Sad!
Bolaji Fesomade@MasterBolaji

Dangote is thinking of sending all his petrol to other countries instead of selling in Nigeria. Why? Because they say the govt is still allowing other companies to bring petrol from outside Nigeria. So, Dangote feels it may be better to sell where there is less competition.
