One of the darkest lessons in game theory is that bad situations can remain stable for a very long time. Not because they are good, but because neither side sees a safe first move that does not expose them to immediate loss, and that is how men remain trapped inside weak jobs, stale relationships, and cold alliances for years.

Much of modern day suffering, I believe, is really due to our rejection of what was just common sense for most of human history. Children need their parents Marriage is more than just romance Discipline builds character Community is necessary for our survival and wellbeing Truth matters more than our feelings Gratitude is fuel for the soul And that sex creates bonds

Helen Andrews dropped a blunt explanation for why wokeness proved so hard to kill: It’s rooted in feminine patterns of conflict — where disagreement isn’t debated, it’s treated as emotional harm that must be punished or silenced. Instead of open argument (like James Damore’s memo at Google), the response became “I can’t believe you said that” followed by attempts to get the person fired. Men tend to argue, resolve, and move on. Women, she argues, are more likely to hold onto grievances. If wokeness is partly a byproduct of rapid feminization of institutions, Andrews warns it won’t simply vanish with one election. It may be structural. She points to overly “HR-ified” workplaces where feminine preferences for emotional safety now dominate promotions, culture, and daily life — often sidelining masculine strengths in the process. Do you think some institutions have become too feminized in ways that suppress open debate and masculine virtues? Or is this framing off-base?

We were subjected to years of “young men are becoming radicalized, what’s driving this and how do we stop it?” discourse when in reality the typical young man saw practically zero change in his political outlook over the last 30 years. The whole thing was one giant attempt to gaslight both young men and the public at large that they had suddenly moved well outside the Overton window and were either self-radicalizing or falling for extremist propaganda. In reality, the problem was that young men were staying put rather than adopting increasingly radical progressive views. The real issue was that young women were flying off the rails, espousing views that would lead to the complete dissolution of civilization itself while acting like these were basic normal positions that completely sane people should hold. That disconnect between what was being said and what was being done became so off kilter with reality that something finally began to break after 2020. The problem isn’t with young men. The problem is that young women have gone certifiably insane. They’ve made radical progressivism their religion. They’re acting out on the perfectly healthy female tendency to act to uphold and preserve the existing social order. Young women are trying to conserve an ideology they see as the stable bedrock of society, even if it’s actually an acidic collection of delusions that will inevitably destroy society itself. And they’re upset that young men aren’t doing what they see as their role to uphold that order as well. In short, women are natural conservatives. They’re trying to conserve progressivism because it’s the reigning social order and theological governing system of Western civilization. And they’re upset and confused as to why young men aren’t stepping up to uphold it as well.
The New Statesman@NewStatesman

ANGRY YOUNG WOMEN by @emilylawford and @Scarlett__Mag It was a Wednesday night and seven members of the University of Leeds’ feminist society had invited me to join their book swap. I asked how they felt about the young men they knew. “I don’t care for them,” said a girl called Ruby imperiously. “They’re not bad people, but they refuse to call out their friends who make other girls uncomfortable. They’ll laugh at jokes that are sexist, racist, homophobic, they don’t care about political issues… I don’t think they like women a lot.” If a man is attracted to you, she said, he might talk about things like toxic misogyny. If he doesn’t fancy you, he won’t bother. “I feel like a lot of it is quite sexually motivated with men.” I asked if they’d consider dating a man with different political views. They all immediately said no. “I don’t think I’d even be friends with one,” said one girl. “They don’t see you as human.” Only one woman, Evelyn, admitted to having male friends (though she was worried this made her a “pick me”, trying too hard for male attention). Evelyn was concerned about what the men she knew were watching online. “The stuff that’s being said about women is crazy,” she said. “They’re getting all these reels, talking about, like, bad stuff about women. And I get reels of women saying bad stuff about men. I try to think, not all men are like this, but…” On the internet, women and men have never been more alienated from each other. While the toxic, often hard-right politics of the manosphere have been exhaustively documented, the new generation of female influencers are nearly as extreme – just on the other side of the political spectrum. The “femosphere” spans a range of tones: there are misandrist dating coaches who urge women to reject men altogether, and more explicitly progressive content creators who cover global and domestic politics. Exclusive polling by Merlin Strategy for the New Statesman reveals that young women, aged between 18 and 30, are by far the most progressive demographic in the UK. Young women are 26 percentage points less likely to feel positively about capitalism than young men, and much less likely to feel the economy works in their favour. Gen Z women are more likely to support causes such as feminism, environmentalism and anti-racism than young men. They also feel much more negatively towards young men than young men feel about them. I spent the last few months in search of the new left-wing young women. It wasn’t difficult – they were everywhere. But it all felt impossibly bleak. They weren’t excited about their futures. They didn’t like the men they knew, or the idea of those they didn’t. Men were just a threat who had the potential to harm or trap them. This will almost certainly make relationships harder: fewer than half of young women feel men understand them. Young women are much less likely than men to date people who disagree with their politics. People will get lonelier, and angrier. Young women are twice as likely to not want children as young men. And it’s getting worse. Women under 25 are most likely to believe things are “stacked against me, no matter how hard I try”. A significant majority of young women feel isolated from the rest of the country. The two main political parties aren’t reaching out to them specifically. Many women told me they feared a Reform government pressuring them to have babies. Many say they will vote for the Greens in the upcoming local elections, but few seem to believe that will make a difference. They don’t feel represented by mainstream politics, and they don’t think anyone cares. Cover art by Carl Godfrey

You know how when you play an open world game like GTA, you spend some time just seeing what you can break, who you can hurt, what you can take, and what you can get away with without consequences? Watching this made me think that's how the invaders view our homelands. It's not real to them and it's nerfed in their favor, so why not make it a sandbox of destruction? Sure, there are things you're supposed to do, but there's really no stakes to ignoring the objective and just driving a car down the sidewalk because you can. You know you won't be punished in any way that matters to you, so why not? Can I destroy that ancient wall? Well the worst I'll get is a stern direction to the nearest opening in the wall, so why not try! It's not mine, it's not even real to me, and no matter who I hurt or what I break I'm still going to be in the game. To them, it's a game. For us, it's our home. The only one we have. They all have to go back.
Holly Grayle@HollyGrayle

They're EVERYWHERE. This actually enraged me. Imagine going on a walk through the beautiful English countryside, only to see some dead-eyed NPC migrant breaking down a wall that's probably withstood all manner of harsh conditions - but none so harsh as the Third World tendency to destroy, and break, and damage, and ruin. He looks so entirely out of place too, with his tracksuit pants, sneakers, and headphones, apparently immune to the beauty of his surroundings, singularly focused instead on destruction. I have developed a visceral loathing of these people - these creatures so unlike us. My skin crawls with disgust at the mere sight of them.
