The Congress Govt in Karnataka is facilitating take over of large tracts of land by the Waqf Board. Latest dispute involves 1,200 acres in Honwada village, Tikota taluk. Farmers are alleging that the officials are attempting to designate the land under the Shah Aminuddin Dargah, a religious institution. At this rate, all land in India will be designated as Waqf property and Hindus will have to pay Jizya.
